I'm concerned I'll be able to maintain champ status if Chris keeps getting times like he has been. He's exhibiting a level of play and showing potential that is quite powerful. Good reason he has a near .3 AF cut with an AF close to 2 in a single month. I think if I hadn't played in the last few months my AF would have dropped to nearly 1.4, which would probably be my highest AF since 2013.

Managed to keep my R button alive long enough for a short flap...

First PR in nearly 18 months. I really hope this is the start of a comeback, although I don't expect to be anywhere near as prolific as I was back in 2014.

This was actually a flap attempt gone wrong. Got a decent lap 1, failed the flap attempt on lap 2 but carried on to practice some 0-shroomers.

I think I've got splits for about 1'13"5x here at the moment.

Forgetting to save before switching off happens to me all the time. Way I think about it is, it basically doesn't matter about having the time saved, more that you hit it, and are 100% sure what the time was. ONly other point could be losing the ghost (if you want that), and that's not relevant for 75% of the game! (50% being flaps, and 25% being that you can't save retro courses)

Funnily enough, my old 12"93 PR was done using that final corner cut. I've tried it a few times recently but seem to have lost the knack. Do you start a slide towards the corner, then shroom and jump or do you just turn, shroom and jump?

I had a lot of fun here the last few days...

Best splits give me the sub, but this was a fun soak!

I agree with Chris on the final corner cut. The way I do it is to hop right, then on landing shroom and hop an instant later.
Best idea is either to practice this on lap 1 to save time on restarts, as the cut saves close to same amount of time as trying the flap on lap 2.
Alternatively, try implementing the shroomspot in 5lap attempts (and don't instantly restart on failure), so that you're practicing it more often.

Main other points of improvement are 2nd and 3rd turns (just get tighter and end 3rd turn by hopping in straight line. Then at the turn right before your 2nd shroom, I can see you letting go off right on the dpad - instead keep holding right and hop over the last bit of the turn to cut more time.
