Title: question about the player page
Post by emoyosh on 04/07/22 at 12:36:35

was gonna put the question in the title  but it was too long lol

on the players page, theres a couple of my times that have links to my pr videos, but not all of them. :-?
do both the 3lap and flap need to be in the same video
does it have to be on youtube, have been using files.fm lately instead and prefer it over yt
some of the top players have almost all/all their times linked
some players have video proof status but no linked vids/linked vids but no proof status
just curious [smiley=turtle.gif]

no

no but yt is preferred for ease of access

the video links feature is relatively new so older players may have videos that simply aren't linked to their profile

proof check marks have to be manually given, if you have videos linked just contact penev and he'll probably give you it

This may or may not be correct not sure, to get a video proof status I think a competitor needs to submit a video proof of at least one PR 'plus' a Timescroll/video displaying PRs saved to the memory card.

With proving one PR there needs to be video footage of the competitor racing Time Trial earning their PR. This could be a flap, 2laps, 3laps or 7laps but video prove at least one PR.

I achieved a Video proof status in 2011 or 2012 by proving one PR with gameplay footage in video and then just scrolling through my past PRs that 'use to be' my current PRs at the time in a separate video. My videos were and still are both on my YouTube channel.

I submitted two YouTube proof videos, my 50Hz WS flap at the time, (a video of me racing my past 50Hz flap) plus a 60Hz Timescroll video displaying all my past 32 60Hz PRs at the time of submitting the two proof videos. This is how I got my video proof status back in 2011 or 2012.

I doubt it matters that I had a 50Hz proof and soft proved all my 60Hz PRs at the time, (regardless of Hertz), I assume you need one video of you playing the game, demonstrating your skills, (maybe I am wrong and it doesn't even need to be a PR??) I don't know plus, either a 50Hz or 60Hz time sheet 'not' both, just 'one' timesheet even though you have a red and green timesheet. Just soft proof 'one' entire time sheet plus one video proof.

I doubt they have to be overall/Any Hz PRs, (in the timesheet soft proof).

Back when I got my Video proof status, I had both 50Hz and 60Hz timesheets both with 32PRs in each. They were both very similar strength. I use to be Adv B in 50Hz and Adv B or Adv C in 60Hz back then from memory when I Timescrolled my 60Hz time sheet.

Back then I didn't have to prove my 50Hz time sheet, only 'one' time sheet probably because my PRs were similar and they still are 'reasonably similar' my 50Hz and 60Hz timesheets but, much faster now.

I could be inaccurate but believe, time scroll at least 'one' timesheet probably whichever 'one' is stronger eventhough I think yours are similar to yours, (both your 50Hz and 60Hz from memory are both similar).

I don't know if I am correct and if I am correct, I don't know if the criteria for earning a Video proof status is the same as it was 2011 or 2012 back when I earned my Video proof status.

This and other competitive videogame websites have made some big changes to their proof systems. Most of MKDD!!PP life so far, you couldn't link video proof to your profile, for example like flanders pointed out.

Also, I am 'not' considered a top competitor so 'wonder' if 'less' proof is required from me to get the 'same' Video proof status as a top competitor on this site, MKDD!!PP. What I mean is, perhaps I needed to submit one video proof of me playing where as the top competitors might have needed to submit multiple proof videos of them playing to get the 'same' Video proof status, I am COMPLETELY GUESSING or ASSUMING this. 'No one' told me such a thing.

Hope this helps.

i feel like this is a lot more lenient these days, especially with lower-ranked players
only having a video or two seems legit enough though as long as it shows you performing at the level you claim to be
