Hi I am new to the double dash community and I wanted to start time trialing but before I do I need to make sure it is okay to use the gamecube on the wii. I am not using dolphin and I am not using any emulators, I have a double dash disc and am playing on a wii console.

This has to be the dumbest and most pointless thread I've seen posted on this forum. First of all of course you can play on the Wiis built-in GameCube why wouldn't you be allowed. Its literally the same fucking game. And such a stupid question doesn't need its own topic. Post in site issues suggestions and comments if you have questions like this

I think it’s a completely legit question and not “dumb” at all.

I was thinking the same thing myself, never played a cube game on the wii and hadn’t researched if the hardware handled the game differently, especially for time trialing, no? What better place to ask than here.

Why would the hardware handle the game differently it's literally a built-in GameCube. The function of any backwards compatible console is to run the games as they are. it's a really silly question and you can honestly look at the website joining info and already deduce that you can so yes it's useless to create a topic for something that you can literally look up on the site. ::)
