Howdy Karters, I have been watching gaming-related videos all night tonight when I ran across this. It's a mini-documentary of sorts about the history of WRs in SMK, posted by a user called Abyssoft. He mentions many top SMK players by name (but mispronounces a lot of them), tells us about the annual CDM, shows videos of several current SMK WRs, and there's even a video of what was perhaps the first NBT run on MC1, a 58"xx time from Japan done back in 1993! (and driven without zigzags as well; I actually used a very similar strat in the MKSC version of MC1) This is well worth a watch if you're into the SMK community and its history!

You probably weren't aware of this then, but Abyssoft has been communicating with many of us on this for a few months back now and created this video based on our input. But yes, nice video summary if anyone hasn't seen it yet, give it a watch.

^ I figured that Abyssoft must have had some kind of contact with the SMK community in order to know so much, though I don't remember seeing that username here on the forum (I know you Karters have other means of communicating with each other, including Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch). Does anybody know if Abyssoft has a set of times on the Players' Page? (under his real name, which I don't know)

Be sure to check out Abyssoft's other videos as well if you like stuff relating to gaming records. An Aussie YouTuber, "Karl Jobst", has a great channel as well.
