So first off, there's an automatic thread on mariokartboards.com here: https://www.mariokartboards.com/threads/automatic-top-5.1177/ which contains the top 5 automatic times for every track, run by Estaloy. Proof isn't required for the times unless it's 'BKT or really good' but lots have proof anyway, which is nice. But the Japanese player Bom, who has the best time on BC3, 2nd best on Koopa Cape(behind Brett) and the best time on BC glitch by TONS does not have proof. I've checked the CTGP ghost database and youtube-nothing. That's where I started getting a little suspicious. Now then, Bom's time on KC has been proven (by Brett) to be possible, and the time on BC3 nonsc is only better than the next one by Zomothy by 1.096 seconds, which is plausible enough-Demon has over a second lead over Nmeade in second on Maple Treeway, for example. But on Bowser's Castle glitch- Bom apparently has a time of 2:15:621, with OVER A 12 SECOND LEAD over the next best times. I'm going to prove here that this time is impossible humanly(on automatic). I have lots of arguments: 1)Difficulty and nerves: It is hard to pull off a glitch once, harder to pull it off twice, and even harder to pull of thrice. If you're on lap 3 you've got to be shaking badly. And this is the glitch on AUTOMATIC. And this has to be the SHROOMLESS NO STOP GLITCH. Because if we look at the manual BKTs for glitch and no-glitch, where they have been pretty optimised, we have the no-glitch record of 2:20:672 by BP DK, and the glitch wr set the other day by Jared of 2:09:106. There is a difference of 11.566 seconds between these two times, therefore each lap the glitch saves (on average) 11.566/3= 3.855 seconds. The difference between Bom's BC glitch and Toad's (proven) no-glitch time is 12.708 seconds, therefore each glitch lap is saving on average 12.708/3=4.236 seconds. But that's if Bom was 3/3ING THE SHROOMLESS GLITCH on automatic. If he was using a shroom he'd have to be saving an extra 0.8 or so every lap on lines as he's used the shroom for the glitch, and if you watch Toad's no-glitch BKT, the lines are very good, and any nerves a human would be feeling would make it very hard to consistently outline this ghost. 2)Automatic just can't get a 2:15 OK, auto no-tas can no way hit a 2:15. Here's some proof: The no-glitch manual wr is 2:20:672 and the auto nonsc BKT is 2:28:329. Therefore, manual is better than automatic by 7.657 seconds, so the limit for BC glitch on auto would be 2:09:106+7.657= 2:16:763, over a second worse than Bom's unproven time. 3) No-one has even hit a shroomless auto glitch to my knowledge, let alone 3 IN A RUN 4) At the top of the automatic thread it says 'proof is required for the BKT or really good time . Yes it's really good, it's impossibly good! BUT THERE'S NO PROOF! 5) Mach bike loses around a second a lap to the flame runner, and the shroomless glitch is SO unconsistent with flame runner (apparently) so Bom would actually have to outline Toad by over a second a lap, or 1.8 SECONDS if it was the shroom glitch. That just isn't happening. So, Bom's time is made up or tased, hence I immediately don't trust Bom's Koopa Cape or Bowser Castle 3 times either. Once a cheater, always a cheater, right? That seems to be the policy here and at mkwrs.com anyway. So please vote above how you think Bom's times should be treated, and I will let Estaloy know the results in a week or so. Other than that, this is the best post I've ever seen. |

Also I know someone is going to want to reply along the lines of “not PP not relevant blah blah”, and in response I say since when did relevancy mean you could get away with lying? Also bcwii glitch can be done easily without a hop so auto can defenitly get 2:15. If you really doubt the times that much just ask estaloy where she got them Edit: the automatic thread as a whole is a shit show. Post by Arvo57 on 06/03/20 at 07:52:54 The run should be at least possible to hit (auto BKT's are not nearly as optimized as WRs and the glitch likely saves more with auto since you don't have to drift around the spiral) Idk that much about auto mechanics but Bom could have also used spear, making the run even faster, I think the only reason nosc auto bkt doesnt use spear is the spiral. (+ spear shroomless glitch is a lot more consistent) Bom is trusted on his other claims (rDKM glitch) so I highly doubt he would randomly cheat a BCWii automatic glitch run, the motive is just not there. Voted no, I think the time is entirely realistic |

And as a result there are no “official” auto tops so there’s no real reason to provide hard proof unless your time makes it on a regular top 10 (say rPG for example) 2) Bom is known for having a good BC glitch time so he has a lot of experience with the shortcut. In fact a lot of players (mostly Japanese iirc) are known for just mastering the shroomless glitch to use in worldwides 3) If you really think a player should be banned and put it to a vote then you NEED to provide arguments for both sides. This is true in any argumentative paper and applies here too. Otherwise it comes across as very biased- even the topic title seems to gear the reader towards banning the player. For votes and polls it’s important that the information remains neutral or at least as equal as possible on both sides Unless this is just genius satire in which case well done ;D |

In less than five minutes (no joke) I got a 2:15 pace with terrible driving (failed the third glitch, barely). Was 45, low 46 something. 2:14 at least is doable I'd guess. |
