Sorry to have to post here something totally unrelated with this board but I've had a problem on the French forum (http://www.ffsmk.org/forum/index.php) since this afternoon, which prevents me from posting so I've no other choice to post here to warn the admins of the French board.
I've had the following warning nearly the whole day when I've tried to post there :

Votre session s'est terminée alors que vous postiez. Veuillez tenter de resoumettre votre message.

Of course, I am logged in.
I've tried to log out / log in, to post from another browser, to post from another PC (in another location), always with the same result.
I don't know if I'm the only one in that case (hard to know as people concerned have no way to tell it).
All I can add is that there were short periods of time when I could post (I managed to post twice today) but apart from that, I've had the problem nearly the whole day (and I've had the problem each time I tried since 3PM).

It was all a ploy to finally get the elusive Johan posting on the Players' Site so that Sami can recruit him. ;)

Yep, we already had the same issue in the previous morning, it's not entirely ffsmk.org-related, but more like the overall server's fault. Hopefully our host will find a solution soon, this also prevents me from logging into my admin sessions on my own website, which sucks too. :P

My guess here is that there is a time limit for typing up a post (not sure how long, since some posts can take a long time to type up), and this error is generated when the post button is pressed after the timer has expired. However, this time limit has now somehow been set to zero or a negative value, because pressing the post button as quickly as possible still generates the error.

There could also be an error with the forum's internal clock, if the forum compares the time you started typing the post to the time you press the button to post it, in order to determine whether you have used too much time.

If there isn't a time limit for typing up posts, then we need to look at the login timer. Once again, an incorrect value could be set, which makes the forum think that the user should no longer be online (but you will still be logged in). I don't use time-limited logins, but if there is an option for this, then there must be some variable which stores the login timer. Even if you choose permanent login, the variable probably has to be given some value (probably the highest value possible), because it cannot be set to zero.

I've just tried to post there and it worked. But I can't say if it's durably fixed.
