Karthritis is a podcast (loosely) centered around the Super Mario Kart community, featuring a set panel of hosts (Dan, Joe, Marius, ScouB, Clark and me for the pilot episode) and a variable range of topics. Karthritis is the successor to Kart Radio, which was a thing a decade or so a go. Expect plenty of shots fired, inside jokes (sorry, not sorry) and coverage on news from both inside and outside the realms of gaming. We had like 8 years of catching up to do though. ;) I think most people that are accustomed to listening to podcasts do it while they are working or traveling and don't mind it being long. |

So yeah combine it with a repetitive activity that doesn't require sound. Or just don't listen to it if it's not your cup of tea, that's also perfectly fine. |

If working or tidying at home and want something on in the background this is perfect. You can always continue it later and pick up where it left off if you want to do it in shorter bursts. |

Post by Sargoth on 07/05/18 at 02:57:51 Wow, thanks a lot for the kind words and the feedback :) All I need in terms of motivation to keep doing this is to not get sued or convincingly threatened, but hearing from people who have heard it and actually want more can only grow the urge to keep going and most importantly, let you have a say to make it better. What are some things you would like to be kart of the Karthritis episodes? Guests? Mario Kart history? Speedrunning history\news? In-depth time-trial analysis? Non-gaming segments? Contests? We have a lot of ideas ourselves, but any feedback from you will surely point us in the proper direction :) |

I had heard of the legend of Kart Radio, but unfortunately it was before my time and the episodes were no longer available by then. As for what I would like to see in future episodes, I'd love to hear some segments on Mario Kart history (and more specifically community history), especially since the podcast members are all long-time veterans of the community. For example, I'd love to hear an in-depth segment on the NLG '07 meet: how it came to be, why it was meaningful for the community, stories of the meet itself, etc. While I'm at it, I'd also like to request that the old Kart Radio episodes get uploaded somewhere, assuming anyone still has them. |

As I said, haven't listened to it yet so this is a little anticipated to make suggestions but when I was quite active a few months ago, I had thought this might be a great idea to have some kind of video-summary of the recent TT activity (NBT... and non-NBT of course :)) with top-level players commenting some of the PR videos submitted by players for instance (if the concerned players agree of course). As an extra-section, this might also be interesting to have WR videos commented, even if they were not set recently. Mythical WRs (like Alicia's non-NBT PAL 17"60 on BC1) being dissected by top-players, this might be rather nice! |

It definitely makes up some percentage of the content though, like last episode we talked a fair bit about NTSC GV1, which seems to be a recurring theme so far. :P *There's a lot of banter and talk about subjects outside of kart too. |
