Are the karts set to the exact same speeds in these two game modes?

Match Race is 100cc, so it is slower than GP 150

In 150cc, you can gain coins in order to get to top speed. It increases with each coin and maxes out after 10 coins.

You can do this in 50cc and 100cc too (GP 100cc has the exact same speed as Match Race, depending on how many coins you have, of course).
