I have played 4 mafia games, all in this board; and have read the majority of the games in here. No-one outside those 3 sections has heard of me, I’m sure. But I guarantee you I’ve followed all sections at some point or another and have a good idea what each MK game is like, and who are the top players, etc. So, let’s see: - Only portuguese that takes MK seriously. You know, that country at the edge of Europe that looks like a face. - Top-60 MKDS NonPRB, top-25 on one track, one win on Leone (yes, the same one that runs dis shit). - I have a preference for the flat retro tracks. - I also did PRB/shortcut sometimes. My RR flap PR uses a obsolete SC because I thought the new one was boring, heh - I like anime, but I’m nowhere near as much of a weeb as Diogo. Vote him too, btw. - I’m a maths nerd - Contender for the KC2K16 extra final contest xD - Interesting post of mine about masturbation lol (http://www.mariokart64.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1471282212/40#40) Some facts only mafia scrubs would get: - Fucked over 2 great players (http://www.mariokart64.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1492536934/603#603) because one of them was drunk lol - Wrote quick post on phone to keep up with game, created a meme by accident (see DansGame’s sig). - Shitposts for a full day phase and doesn’t get lynched… but died anyway lmao. So, uh, here's some simple maths: I've dug the results from KC2K16 first round:
Maybe TvK already posted this or was planning to soon... whatever. The thing is, you can use some simple stats calc to figure out that, given that you're a winner, the odds that you get less than 46 votes are around 80%. This is assuming that the sample average and std. dev. are good estimations for the real ones. Also assumes that there were no significant changes in the community in the last 2 years in order to change the amount of votes. Last but not least, this assumes that Leone is rigging the contest so perfectly not even the laws of probability notice it. You might think this means that if you get 46 votes, the odds of winning (ignoring who the opponent is) are 80%, but that's technically wrong. Can't confirm, but I feel like the odds are greater. The point is... can you get ME such a huge vote count??? If you do so, I'll ask you to NOT vote me at all next round. Deal? |

MR is known for his streak of 100+ months of MK64 PRs (I think he’s at 115 now? idk, doesn’t matter). Pretty sure several people are where they are now because they climbed the charts consistently. Myself, I have PRed in MKDS for97 weeks in a row, from March 2015 to January 2017. The streak ended when I was first watching Death Note, my first anime… obviously a coincidence. This period was a dark age for the MKDS PP, no more than 5 people were active at a time. In fact on a certain week, only one was active… http://www.mariokart64.com/mkds/archives/00000547.html ;D ;D ;D Due to low activity, and as a reward for my consistency I got several awards. I am 8th in award points on MKDS PP. lol like that means anything xddd (By the way, Ben Stoneman (BSMKDS) is 2nd in award points, has some crazy WRs and is most likely the person who has played MKDS the most. He deserves more votes than a certain MKDD speedrunkiddie ;) ) |
