Title: Karter Contest 2018: Nominations Phase Post by MKDSLeone on 05/14/18 at 17:22:57 Welcome to the Karter Contest 2018 Edition everyone!! THE NOMINATIONS PHASE IS NOW CLOSED!!! This is how YOU decide who done earned a spot – by sending a list of nominations to me via forum personal message! Tentatively, we expect to have a tournament with 112 people going through a group phase (1 round of 4-player matches) and a single-elimination bracket phase, similarly to 2k14 and 2k16 editions. With this setup, 105 players can make it in through by being nominated, and 7 lucky players, the non-winning members of the 2k16’s Elite 8, are automatically in for this year and are guaranteed a spot in the bracket phase! Like the last KC (and because it worked well enough), the 9 most nominated players will skip the nominations round and leap straight to the bracket phase, receiving seeding spots like the auto-ins! As such, if you think one of your favorites will get nominated either way, you might be able to help them clear the phase altogether! However, don’t forget about the lesser-known members of your community; if there’s someone you’d like to get in the spotlight, you should certainly give them a nom! If you don't believe much in your chances to get nominated, you can try to sway some votes your way, by making a campaign thread in this forum section… once it exists. I’d say wait to make a campaign thread, but honestly, when the section opens I’m moving relevant threads to it anyway, so who cares.
