Total: 18.649 (.651 WR cut) The only thing is that the 4.583 actually uses 2 shrooms at the end (it was part of a 1-0-2 strat), but I compared speedometers between runs that used to 2 end shrooms and runs that used 1 end shroom and the speed remains a consistent 114 kph regardless. (Makes sense because the first shroom hasn't worn off yet.) So I think the 4.583 could still be used for the lap 3 BKS for the 2-0-1 strat. RR - Flame Flyer (1-1-1): 48.414 (A. Wesker), 48.427 (A. Wesker), 48.260 (kaede). Total: 2:25.101 (.156 WR cut) These may not quite be the BKS's (I just looked at the splits of the past ten world records for each), but it's a start. |

There's so many variations, and only one lap 2 run has been completed, meaning only one lap 1 and 2 (Danny's splits). You could use his lap 1 and 2 if you really want (and Thomas' lap 3), but even Danny has said he's hit the top of the banner and the lap has counted, and got laps a full second faster than in his run (it's happened to me, too). Anyway, you can wait it out, or change it right now, just know that those splits won't last for long... [smiley=uzi.gif] |

Also from here on out, if you get a new BKS please post a video of it if there is a video. It's nice to actually see what the BKSs look like. It's fine if there's no video though. |

If the angle really is the problem, test some different alignments that are more perpendicular. I'm sure the low trick here was tested at some point that I'm not aware of, but after the 3 boost pad strat, I figured anything's open for question. I had a few small errors here and there, high ramp before the shroomless , first turn in the pipe wasnt optimal and the shroom wasnt optimal either. Other than that it was really solid for me. If you want to watch the lap, go to obsoleted ghosts on CTGP, the 2:28.906 by me has the new BKS in it. Also my lap transition strat is equal to chaining unless you get the actual chain ofc, I just find it more convenient. I'll be trying to get this WR during my christmas break, if I don't get it then I'll try again later I suppose :P |

I still stand by what I said in April that CM is frustrating to TT, especially with the strats I use. CM WR isn’t even my main goal atm. I was trying to improve DKJP but didn’t feel like playing it on Dec 23, so instead I played CM and went from .557 to .297 in like 3 hours. I thought that I could tolerate the track again since I improved easily but that went south after a week of attempts. ;D Oh well, I’m just happy I secured my position on the ng WW tops since I was very close to getting kicked out after being on it since 2008. |

The reason for doing this is because even though this is the Player's Page/Time Trial forum, pretty much everything competitive MKW related is at MKBoards, including all of the Top 10 TT threads. The BKS thread was pretty much the only official thing not at MKBoards. So here's my question to the Player's Page: are you all okay with stopping this thread and using the one at MKBoards from here on? I understand that there are many TTers who frequent this forum who played at the beginning of the game who have more of an attachment to this forum, which is why I'm asking. I suppose it's okay if we keep updating this thread if there's a strong consensus to have this duplicate, but otherwise it'd be much more convenient to scrap this one so that we don't have to update the same thread twice and so new BKS's aren't posted one place and not another, etc. Let me know if you feel one way or the other. If there aren't many responses within the next ~week then I'll take that as a cue to scrap this one and move over to MKBoards. |

I think it would be a loss not to have the best known splits on here as well as MKBoards. I'm willing to help out here anyway I can (I would be ready to update the thread on the PP aswell if it goes to that, it wouldn't be that big of an issue). And to @KingAlex, MKBoards is indeed very similar to mariokartwii.com. People can create their own ideas without much restrictions, which is why some TT tops are very inaccurate and dead in general. A few people in there are willing to keep the most important tops relatively up to date and I feel like it is important to have TT related discussion there, since it is a more active website in general. (Even though some posts may look like they've been written by Roadchill after a wild night out.) I don't think it will be a problem to keep the 2 threads relatively in sync, no matter who the updater is. For example me and Diamond have been helping each other with the European top 10s and the threads are more or less identical (apart from Barney and Daniel kek) Also @MattL, found a lot of videos that aren't in here, feel free to check the MKBoards thread and copy them here (there are so many and finding everything took a few hours so won't be posting the links here). I think it might be more simple to just copy the whole thread from there to here :P |

I'm inclined to stop caring about/reporting lap 1 BKS given they really don't matter due to the chomp lap 3. The sub is BARELY possible by humans (with Auto), BKS don't matter. You'd essentially have to time your first 2.5 laps perfectly so you NARROWLY miss the chomp in the maze lap 3, purposely losing time if necessary (like in Brett's 043). Then, you'd have to have a damn near perfect remainder of the lap just to barely sub. Brett's lap 3 back-half was very solid, the only major time losses were not sticking to the ground after the hop and not clipping the staircase (both, very luck reliant). He'd have needed them both + his perfect driving just to barely sub [smiley=flush.gif] The human limit for auto is without a doubt 1:59.0xx to high 1:58.9xx. That's the point WR will stay at until manual (if ever) is further perfected or gets new strats. |
