Title: Some MKSC questions
Post by Stephen De Winter on 11/02/17 at 23:29:00

Q1. What does the acronym, 'ZZMT' stand for?

Q2. What is, 'ZZMT?'

Q3. I was watching one of, SuperChraizy's YouTube videos and was reading Shock's comments about modifying the D-pad. Anyway, is this to get a competitive advantage, (from memory I think I read, you can trick the game into giving you more Mini Turbos if the D-pad is modified?) I might be confusing my facts with something else I saw on YouTube for this game.

Q4. Is modifying your D-pad allowed for Non-SC and/or SC competition on this MKPP?

Q5. Which handheld consoles out of the following can the D-pad be modified for, GBA, GBA SP, Original DS and/or DS Lite?

Thanks :)

Q1 - Zig-Zag Mini-Turbo
Q2 - Any boost achieved by wiggling as opposed to holding a slide in one direction.
Q3 - Yes, it let's you perform boosts that would otherwise be impossible.
Q4 - Yes, since one can toggle left/right inputs to perform zzmt without modifications.
Q5 - You can bust all of those open, at least the SP has a front light and DS is good too but I never tried opening a Lite...lol

Opening a Lite is a pain. I tried to fix mine and the triwing screws just wouldn't turn.

Ruined 2 screwdrivers before I gave up and sold it.

http://nonzzmt.com/about.html

This is the description I wrote last year. I made the nonzzmt to more accurately track nonzzmt competition, because of the weird situation on the PP where nonzzmt and zzmt times are not distinguishable, even though they give a significant advantage.

If you're just starting out with mksc, DON'T modify for zzmt yet - it's more important to get to grips with the basics of driving mechanics first (which takes a while) before you start learning to madly zigzag all over the place. The majority of the top 20 are modified for zzmt, and barely any beyond 20th are, so that should give you a rough idea on when (if ever) to switch.

And...

Game Boy Advance
Game Boy Advance SP AGS-001
Game Boy Advance SP AGS-101
Nintendo DS
Game Boy Micro
Nintendo DS Lite

Is the D-pad can be modified for the Game Boy Micro? [smiley=ninja.gif]

Also, facts: in total you can put your MKSC cartridge in 6 different consoles (yup I count the revision of the SP AGS-001 to the SP AGS-101 as two different modeles), and it's almost the same amount of GBA SP that Etch has (!!!!!!!)-- but the same Mario Kart game (including cartridges and discs) in 6 different consoles, this is the record [smiley=smokin.gif]

Ever seen the video "How to open Nintendo 3DS - HD (TAKE APART & DISASSEMBLE)", after that you see the Lite as a joke to open ;D
