To avoid confusion in the future, when someone asks who the best SMK player is, just tell them it's Graf.

To be fair, I did not even tell them that. I simply stated that I was #1 in Time Trials. If I remember correctly I even pointed out that there were also multiplayer championships where a World Champion was determined.

But yes, Graf would do for next time nonetheless. ;)

lol it doesn't even surprise me, people who actually know about video games and are interested in e-sports think I have been SMK world champion for years (and some think I'm a top player at any MK then).

Very recognizable, most ppl that are not heavily into gaming but know I play SMK at high level think Im an ace at MK8, eventhough I've barely touched the game. :P

"Cool, let's play MK8! I bet I can beat you!"

I'm not bad at MK8 though (probably my best MK after "SMKSC") but anyone playing at a serious and consistent level might be better than me, without being a top skilled player. That turns into funny and awkward moments where people challenge me and feel super proud beating me on one race (or even a full cup) and try to make it a moment to remember for everyone, whereas it's just a goddamn random fact. [smiley=lolk.gif]

Seems to me that (at least) the last 3 MKs (MKW, MK7, MK8) have similar driving characteristics. This should allow top players to perform in either (of course they would have to learn the track specifics, shortcuts, etc.). What do you think?

I think every second played on one of them is a second which you could also spend in SMK.. so it's a wasted one ;)

Well I couldn't agree more. I've had MKW for a couple of years now (my cousin gave it to me) but I haven't even turned it on. I already have such little time for (my preeee-ciousssss) SMK, so... ;)
