Title: Deciding POY 2011 to 2016! #BBA
Post by Goomba on 02/06/17 at 11:13:42

Edit: Someone bombed the 2015 and 2016 polls. Luckily I had screenshots right before this happened. We are now closing the polls.

Hello everyone,

Gomby and Oceanman here for the continuation of the Bringing Back Awards #BBA adventure.
Looking back at the poll from the previous thread, there's a 13-6 win for bringing back awards. Now the majority of the YES voters voted for remove the point system.

Basically this means that awards will no longer give points, but instead are a way to see who did well in that period of time instead of a ranking.

In order to catch up we've decided to include all of the polls for POY from 2011 to 2016 in this thread. Because you can't host multiple polls in a single thread and we don't want to spam the forum, we're using strawpoll. And here are your FRESH but not so FRESH NOMINEES

Deadline: CLOSED

2011  http://www.strawpoll.me/12282939
-    Krystian Wieczorek: Consistent and reliable, Krystian improved his AF 871->488 (44%) and ARR 27.8->20.6 (26%), both the highest of anyone over the three months.
-    Jamie Disley: Though Mark and Flynn had good months, Jamie was the star of the quarter: active nearly each week and usually the highest active player. His cuts amount to 35% AF and 26% ARR, improving from 85th to 47th.
-    Kouider Benarioua: A one-two punch quarter from the champ, playing both Hz. He cemented his big lead overall with a 20% AF cut (to 2.0), but also made lovely cuts of 33% in 60Hz AF and 61% in 60Hz ARR to get very close to Marijn. Also got 3 POMs.
-    Robert Lee: A two horse race between Rob and Justin, both scoring just under 40% cuts. Rob's higher ranking makes his task harder and he was most consistently active over the period. Parker (24% cut) and Dennis (21%) were significantly behind Rob in stat cuts.

2012   http://www.strawpoll.me/12283137
-    Noah Murad: Noah's cuts speak for themselves: AF 470->127 (-73%) and ARR 20.2->12.5 (-38%), to advance from 447th to 122nd (325 places). Krystian played admirably in the same time period (-48% and -23%), but Noah's cuts were just too much.
-    Kouider Benarioua: Got champ, 60hz champ
-    Andrew Math: Got 60hz champ
-    Andreas Rudmarker: Clutch end of the year, got champ ending the year with 16/32 WRs

2013  http://www.strawpoll.me/12283178
-    Andreas Rudmarker: got more WRs, good year
-    Richard Karlsson: This time Richard got the clutch end of the year, got champ ending the year with 15/32 WRs

2014  http://www.strawpoll.me/12283236

-    Mikael Johansson: Climbed the charts consistently
-    Jacob Purcell: Climbed the charts consistently
-    Richard Karlsson: Got WRs

2015  http://www.strawpoll.me/12283367
- Andrew Math: Got tons of 60hz WRs and went from #4 to #3
- Noah Murad: Climbed the ranks from 107 to 52
- Jacob Purcell: Climbed the ranks from 43 to 24
- Mikael Johansson: Climbed the ranks as well from 37 to 23
- Mike Koehoorn: Climbed the ranks starting at 250 in august and ending top 50 at the end of the year

2016  http://www.strawpoll.me/12283439
(Not gonna do a lot of explaining here as most of you should know 2016)
- Andrew Math: Got champ going from #3 to #1 ending with 12/32 WRs starting from 5/32
- Mike Koehoorn: Climbed the charts going from #46 to #5 getting 6 unique WRs and becoming the Dutch champ
- David Gutierrez Pena: Climbed the charts going from #561 in feb ending on #10
