Like last year, I forgot to create this topic due to AGDQ shenanigans at the start of the year.

The winner in 2015 was Tyler's superb KB1 5-lap of 45"76. This year I really couldn't decide on an objective list of top-8 contenders for poll choices, so you're just gonna have to post which one you were most impressed with, so we can tally up the scores later.

2/ MC4 flap 18"13 Chrissy (at CDM ! :o)
3/ RR flap 17"06 KVD

NTSC
1/ RR flap 16"48 KVD
2/ GV2 flap 11"33 ScouB
3/ DP2 flap 16"26 ScouB

And between PAL/NTSC maybe BC1 17"37 8-)

I went for DP2 5-lap on PAL, because of the barrier breaker and flap WR in one race. Though it's not the most maxed one of the bunch, but 5-laps never are. Honourable mentions definitely go to Chris' MC4 flap live at CDM, breaking one of the longest standing WRs in the history of the site. And ScouB's DP1 for finding an extra 0"03 on an already pushed lap.

Over on NTSC I was most impressed with how maxed ScouB's DP2 flap looked, just crazy! I really enjoyed breaking the mini barrier on BC1 flap too, but ScouB may be correct in assuming the PAL equivalent is a tiny bit more maxed out.

Yeah I did not pick any 5laps, might be because I'm more a flap karter ::) :P

In PAL I defo go for Karels DP2 double WR, I mean, when has this happened the last time to get a double WR on a really maxed track, and then by such a huge amount!

In NTSC I'd go for either for Scoubs MC2 or DP2 for flaps (because holy moly, the MC2 lap is hard af and with my old DP2 flap I thought I already set a good time, but that was just mindblowing!), for 5laps I'd say I pushed the MC4 by quite a good margin, not perfect, but showed how much more potential this course had :P

Karel's PAL DP2 5-lap is the obvious choice in my opinion since it also contains the flap WR as well.

Aside from that I'd have to say Chris Wild's NTSC MC4 5-lap and Mario's PAL VL1 5-lap.

The MC4 PAL by Chris was done at the CDM where we all saw it happen! That was incredable!

But I vote for Karel's DP2 PAL :P
I know how hard that one is and he crushed the previous WR by far!! [smiley=chairshot.gif]

By the way, having a look at those lists, it looks there were no Choco Island or Koopa Beach world records achieved in 2016 on any system.
