Title: Really useful phone app - "MK8 TT"
Post by Mick on 03/28/15 at 01:40:27

It looks like someone (Choldev17) has been able to successfully find a way to obtain any player's times through their NNID!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.choldev.mktt&hl=en

This new Google Play app allows you to compare the records between two players for all tracks, provided you have their NNID, and that their times have been uploaded online.

The app is already confirmed to work, others have been able to figure out quickly one of my PRs that I haven't submitted here yet and that only myself knew about until now!

We finally have a handy tool to check/verify records from potentially any TTer, and find bullshit times for possible cheaters/liars.

Credit to Anthony (http://www.mariokart64.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?action=viewprofile&&&&username=7B544E525554433A0) for the find [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

This is awesome!  :o [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Is there any way to download the app on your computer without having an android device?

Does it work if they've deleted their own ghosts?

EDIT: I typed in Thurmos's name (former MC WR holder who hoarded and didn't upload times) and the MC time shown was 1:48.004, though he claimed on Miiverse to have times as low as 1:46.502

Not that I know of.

As long as they didn't set a record afterwards, they will still show up in the game. Diogo deleted most of his ghosts at one point but you can still see his current records.

Actually found a way to do it. If you download the program BlueStacks, you can use the app on your PC

^ My lastest YT video also proves it. As long as your new ghost isn't sent,it's still showed up in the rankings.

I don't understand,  I searched my NNID, my times showed up... not all of them are correct though :/ it says my MKS is 7 seconds worse than it is.?!?!

If you don't send the ghost online, it will not show up on your profile.
There's an option on the track menu to send/resend a ghost well after you've set the record, I believe (it should be at the bottom).

Nice app, it could definitely be useful for verifying someone's times as long as they upload their ghosts.

I think I figured out how the app works. There's a parameter called "other_nnid" on the MKTV site which allows you to get a certain player's time for a course:
https://mariokart.tv/en_us/jsonapi/time_trials?category_id=27&other_nnid=cole77
^The "other" section at the bottom contains that player's time. Then the app just loops through every course.

Oh okay,  thank you.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many courses I didn't upload my ghosts for.

Could this potentially be a way of submitting proof?

No one has a proof tick yet, it's too early to think of that with no cheaters

Will it be available for iOS devices? If so, when?

I'd like to see this get updated for the new DLC tracks, which I'm hoping shouldn't be far away.

The app has been updated to include both DLC packs. I am not sure if it is available on iOS devices yet however.

Something to mention: The way cups display are sorted by how they are shown ingame:
First Mushroom >> Crossing
Then Shell >> Bell
