Title: Coin Flip Bracket Pool Post by nstinson on 03/15/15 at 18:53:35 ESPN (http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-challenge-bracket/en/group?invitesource=email&groupID=202673&inviteuser=MjkxNzg2MDk%3D&ex_cid=invite-email-tcmen) Yahoo (https://yho.com/tourney?g=103614&k=c01b80ed38359de2) - "Flip of a Coin Group". ID 103614 This is a fun little event I put together the last few years and decided to again this year. Basic rules: * You flip a coin to decide who wins each match. It's as simple as that. You may flip any coin that has two distinct sides and is not unfairly weighted. You can also use an online coin. Heads = top team in the matchup (not necessarily highest ranked, just the top team on the bracket) wins. Tails = low team in the matchup wins. * For the final score tie breaker, use http://www.random.org/ (http://www.random.org/) [4] and enter a min of 1 and a max of 100. EDIT If you'd like to have a more "realistic" score, set a minimum limit of 30 or 40. However, I enjoy seeing 86-6 ass whoopings in the finals:) * For the enjoyment of those reading, feel free to paint a story for the rest of us of how your bracket played out. I always find those funny :) * As an alternate, you can auto-advance your 1 seeds, or make the 16 and 15 seeds win the flip twice... but I won't :) Join in and have fun! |

Title: Re: Coin Flip Bracket Pool Post by Brett on 03/15/15 at 20:09:58 3/4 of my 16 seeds and my 15 seeds advanced however only 2 made sweet 16 and none made elite 8, with Duke making final 4. I actually flipped 9 tails in a row in the first round which kinda sucks but w/e my bracket seems to get better as it goes on with more higher ranked seeds at the end. |

Title: Re: Coin Flip Bracket Pool Post by Dan H on 03/15/15 at 21:18:23 Coastal Carolina and Lafayette to the Elite 8! I have Baylor beating Eastern Washington 92-75; Butler and Virginia round out my Final Four. All my two seeds won their first round, and I had Kentucky almost making the Final Four (lost to Butler). Minus the two 16 seeds going far and EW in the Final Four, my bracket looks like an almost legit pick set. Everyone make sure to get in to the non-coin-flip group! |

Title: Re: Coin Flip Bracket Pool Post by Sportsguy001 on 03/16/15 at 13:18:42 My 1 seeds didn't fare too well. All losing in the first round except Duke who makes the elite 8 only to lose to Gonzaga. 2 of my 16's make the elite 8. Final four is Kansas, BYU/miss winner, Michigan St., and Gonzaga. With kansas over gonzaga. 3 of my final four could legitimately happen. |

Title: Re: Coin Flip Bracket Pool Post by kyleb30 on 03/19/15 at 10:29:08 I made one just before noon. 2 of my 16s made the Sweet 16, with Robert Morris making the final 4! Other F4 teams were Kentucky, Oregon, and Wyoming. Wyoming over Oregon in the championship, which isn't as bad as I thought it'd be ;D |
