Title: New Site for Rankings Post by Fox on 11/18/14 at 13:41:05 Long time no see. Haven't played this game properly since June, and I wanted to make a return this december. (No chance of playing until then) So I decided that meanwhile, when I had time, I could work on a new site. A new site that has data on WW tops, american tops, EU tops, japanese tops, and AUS tops. Including flap and BKS'. The reason for making this site is actually that mkwiiu.com is down a bit too often (don't take this wrong Zak/Aruba - your site is great). It's also because it's easier to have all rankings in one site, than what it has been lately. (Zak/Aruba's site & Fra's site) The site is still to be updated, missing data on |

Good luck :) (By the way, are you going to change the layout of the site? It looks a little blocky and there's a bit of a problem with scrolling all the way down on my computer.) As for the suspicious players, I think it's worth noting that Ian, Glaceon, and Harry literally came out of nowhere and don't have any other WW or regional tops or much, if any, contact with the MKW community (though Harry did have MH track history). Everyone else, minus maybe a few Japanese players (can't really make a call there) has had either more history or more contact with the community. You also might want to add Logan (American CM glitch guy) to the list. He allegedly has AR, and it was counted on Zak's site but not the Japanese one. |

His history is hard to piece together because he used different licenses and some of his ghost dates were bugged. When you do piece it together you can see he had about 2 years of LC history from 1:09.7xx to his current PR of 1:09.157. But yes, the strange thing is that no one in the Japanese community knew who he was, and that was the main reason why he wasn't added to the WR site (and was requested to stream). In MK8 he was 2nd WW on rMC for a while (now 3rd WW). He pretty much only plays rMC, and has no other Miiverse posts. Again, he's not known in the community at all. It is so similar to what he did in MKWii, but since it's MK8 we know for sure that his times are legit. That's one of the reasons that I'm starting to think that his MKWii times should count. I know that being legit in MK8 doesn't mean you're legit in MKWii, but to me it shows that he a) is not just some random hacker, b) is a course specialist just like in MKWii, and c) is capable of competing in MK at a high level without cheating. Back when he got the LC WR, I also thought that he was likely legit as I couldn't find anything wrong with his inputs or his progress. But now I'm more convinced after realizing how much the bounce SC saves as well as seeing him compete in MK8. I don't think that we made the wrong decision to not originally count his times, as the best scenario would have been for him to come forward and prove himself... I've been planning on adding him to WR site (he would have 2 WRs back when he introduced the spindrift strat and got 1:09.2xx). So if the community decides to add him back to the top 10's then I'll also add him to WR site. At the same time he changed the SC strategy, nobody realised just how much time the bounce saved. It saves a lot, and there is no reason why the WW top 10 shouldn't all be under at least 1:09.2, even now. |

He's had a lot of times on courses beforehand that were WWtop10 or very close to being so, he had 1:50.4 on TF for a while, if I recall, 2:10.9/2:10.8 on BC glitch that was around for a few months, then improved. ian - Glitch times shouldn't be doubted due to large improvements, pulling off 2/3 can be considered incredibly lucky and doesn't require good driving to achieve at all. Fra - Has incredibly fast improvements, and acts like a cheater. Claims many laps that are seemingly incredibly difficult, I don't trust him. Glaceon - See Cole's post. Madeno - I don't remember seeing any Japanese accuse him, I trust him. Shawn - Don't know much about him as a player, he does seem to have come out of nowhere, but it's been shown that some players are simply more talented than others, has no serious claims, slow improvements on a lot of courses as well, I trust him. I don't see a reason to doubt him, he was knocked off and he improved. Kiryu - If I recall the reason the player "m" had the name "m surpasses TAS" is because he beat Jorge's time, not Kiryu, though I could be wrong. |

For example: Fra => he streamed some TTs, is an excellent WiFi Player and works a lot on his runs. I understand when you accuse people that are pretty unknown or came out of nowhere. But let's be honest: There are a lot of players that you probably think of being legit, without them having proven themselves more than others. Thats what I always hated about the MKW PP, they trust who they WANT to trust instead of listening to others opinions.And those that the MKW PP people don't like or don't know too closely are claimed as TAS or will be called ''suspicious'' only because they aren't in their friendzone. Everyone can be a Hacker/TASer, whatever you want to call it and it will never be possible to filter them all out of the Tops, as long as not every single player has been proven which is impossible. But why should I care, MKW is way too broken because of Cheats, which is the reason that I prefer playing MK8 and why I also prefer the MK8 PP, since it is impossible to hack at that game for now. -Jeff |

I knew most players' countries but occasionally I'd come across more obscure names (especially on the glitch times) where I couldn't find what country they were in, so I just marked them down as "USA." If any corrections are needed, do not hesitate to contact me or Faxe or anyone else. Also, what's the deal on Logan from CM right now? I didn't include him on the charts because he's not on the WW charts nor is he on the Japanese site's tops, but he was included on Zak's site. RR Kyle is also rather suspicious (he claims to be Shwam's brother, and I remember Shwam telling me it was his brother so there are massive connections there) though I'm not removing him. @Jeff: We're not removing him, we're just bringing up speculation. Players won't get removed unless the general consensus is that the player has cheated or lied, which usually means either any hard proof (a confession, getting caught in the act, failing Cole's input tests, etc.) or a lot of soft proof (refusal to stream to show legitimacy, no videos, very little TT history, no connections at all with the community, etc.). |
