I was bored with time trials and found this to be an interesting challenge.

Just finish a GP with every single coin!

Here is a screenshot of my 50cc runs...

Some tracks gave me fits but it's not so bad once you have a good strat. The thing I am most curious about is how high of a rank you can get. It's hard to cut down on the amount of braking while still trying to come in at least 4th place. Some of you may already have scores for these so I can make a snazzy chart later if there's enough submissions.

Going to try and tackle 100cc now! ;D

Holy shit, you managed to get 55 on every track? o_O

Considering you still have to finish 4th and NOT get bumped by others or hit any obstacles such as Boos... holy shit.

Wait, how did you get 55 coins and get 1st overall? I only start with 5 coins in 8th place, and even in 4th I think I only start with 4.... in 1st I start with 2. And each track only has 50 coins. Is it different for the Japanese cart or something? I'm confused.

(In other words, the max coins I can get on a track while starting in first is 52, so I don't see how you managed to win cups with 55 coins for each track.)

Restart on 2nd, 3rd and 4th races. You start with 5.

I give it a try some years ago for VGR
I've done all except the 2 specials cup on 50cc
and Mushroom, flower and RetroMushroom on 100cc
Never got better than a C rank.
And as far as i remember VL2 is a really pain to do

Once you learn the cpu's movements it's not so bad, but CI2, VL1 and VL2 gave me fits for 1st place!

Well yea, quick play has a replay mode and I was too lazy to record these live! :P

Just 150cc, the other modes are easier so it's not different.

You make me think of Demon who managed to get 99 999VRs on MK7 and he decided to restart his cartridge in order to get 99 999VRs again... :P And that's how he lost minimum 5 entire months of his life at the age of 14. lol

I'll probably go back to 150cc since those strats are more suitable for completing a gp with 220. When you want to be safe, sandbag the entire way and hope items carry you to at least 4th place. I've been aiming for best item sets now but on some courses this takes awhile. Some cpu's are real bastards when you try to lead the race the entire time so there's a good amount of luck to go with careful driving.
