I'm looking for a couple of people who want to help write news for the site --

News is typically done once a month. I'm not picky as to what day it goes up or anything, as long as it is done. You are able to use the Yahoogroups, and I think we still have the nifty stats page if needed as well, although it may or may not be updated.

If you want to do times as well, that's cool with me, but you must able to do news. Right now Timur and Shock are the only news updaters (and Shock posted about having some personal things he needed to take care of, so just Timur atm).

If you are interested, post here and I'll PM you. I'll leave this up until mid-July, so there's plenty of time to respond :) (Also, I may be slow with the PMs as I'm moving from Virginia to the Chicago area at the end of the month and moving prep takes up a lot of time, so please bear with me there.)

I have enough spare time to update times daily and do news consistently, if you'll just teach me how. :)

Although I enjoy reading news written by other people, I'm willing to step up and do it myself if needed. (Especially now that I should be able to find the time to do it each month more easily.)

Yeah it'd be pretty cool not to be the only one updating, I've got exams coming up soon so another lending hand would be appreciated.

Just make sure you don't drop out one month after starting it, that can be a pain in the ass. You should be long-time motivated. You should be aware of the fact that this kind of things can get boring really fast if you're not really interested in it.

Also Christophe, if you write news will I get weekly puns instead?

Ah, the naivety, it's so refreshing and yet so saddening.
At least if you happened to take this on you'd only be having to write one news a month for about 10 people rather than weekly for 40-50, which was my mistake :P
So yeah, I'll just pop in a quick word Leone, news writers are generally people who've been around a while and know the scene, so understand what's going on, it's not just all writing words and posting them.[/quote]

Oh okay, I get it. I don't have the seniority yet. A long-timer would probably do better w/ citing the WR history, etc., anyway. I could probably do 'DS news if anything, I've basically memorized everything there. It still looks like fun tho'.
