Hey, this is something I've been working on for a little bit. I'm trying to get as much of MKSC's recorded WR history written down on a site as possible for archive purposes, and it's cool to scroll through and see how MKSC has evolved over time.

As of now, I've started working on the SC history (which is honestly the hardest part because it dates back to 2001 - might as well tackle it and get it out of the way).

It would be nice if anyone is willing to go through old MB posts, old sites, whether they be Japanese, French, German, the old MKSC site (and the even older MKSC site that I forgot the link to) and the YahooGroups to help me get this huge project done. I've got my progress recorded on an old Freewebs site temporarily until the project is done, and then maybe we can get added into Cole's WR History site.

History that I'm looking for:
- SC History
- Non-SC History (but still has ticking, etc.)
- PP History - the easiest to find and will have the most WR activity, but I really want help with this one.

For those that don't know, Cole has a WR History site for MK7, MKW and MKDD.

Awesome project Ethan! I would offer to help, but I already have a couple projects of my own to take care of. :P

Out of curiosity, will you be keeping track of Non-ZZMT WRs or are you just going to lump them in with the PP WRs?

I probably will end up doing nonZZMT once I finish the PP history, but doing them at the same time is too time-consuming.

Great project.

Some info you may not have:

PC:
-Hayabusa (JPN) did 43"20 few days before his 43"13 ( I dont know exactly when)
-Su did 43"06 on 2006-01-24
All with Bowser.

PC lap:
I had 11"53 on 2004-12-7 and 11"43 on 2004-12-10 (both with Toad)
Previous records:
11"62 (Bowser) by Su
11"55 (Toad) by Mander

MC lap:
13"50 by me with Luigi (2005-05-01)
Previous record 13"70 by Mander (Toad I think)

RMC1:
Su did 43"08 on 2006-07-XX (early days)
Mander had a better time but the video was 'emulator style'
Before that, Su Had 43"35 ( I remember well because I tied him on 2005-07-21)

RMC1 lap:
I Had 6"20 (Bowser) on 2004-09-26, the previous record was 6"23 by Tera (I dont Know when he did it).
Su did 6"08 (Toad?) on 2004-10-10
I will post early records of RMC1 next time

I kept in Hirano's extremely old times because they were real. All pre-2004 runs were legitimate. After that, things started to go downhill.

You can tell by the driving and what the times were recorded with. He only had like 3 WR's back then.

That kind of explanation was already brought by the former #2 WW on MKW... They couldn't perform a record anymore, so they had to cheat to keep up against each other...

Yeah that's what happened with Jay. He played legitimate for about 2-3 years, and when he got to #4 or so on the PP, he resorted to cheating in order to claim #1. What's funny is that Jorge, who called him out on it, did exactly the same thing both to defend his title and to get to 4 AF back in 2010. Smh.

Lafungo's been doing this basically on his own, and is almost done afaik, just trying to find determine whether some pre-new site times use SC or not and suchlike.

I've given the data to Cole for the PP Rules and Non-ZZMT histories. There are a few issues with times that may or may not follow the rules, but I'll go into more detail about that once the site(s) is/are up.
