How fast can you complete the first lap of RRR only touching the a button?

I came up with these times...

Wario - 47"38
DK - 47"38
Bowser - 47"41
Luigi - 47"48
Toad - 47"53
Peach - 47"53
Mario - 47"53
Yoshi - 47"55

What's going on here? :D

What Etch means is, you don't use the D-pad and only accerate, then you fall into the holes and wait for Lakitu driving you back on the track, drive again without turning/jumping (since still using A only), fall again, etc.
