After seeing a bit of Ryan's stream, I'm trying to figure out if I can get a live stream going. It's a work in progress right now since I don't know if my laptop can handle it. Anyway it's at http://www.twitch.tv/toadturtle3. I may attempt some runs if someone drops by, but it won't be pretty.

edit: done streaming. I didn't do much. Just drove around most of the courses to get a feel for the game again. My best runs were probably 1'15'4xx SL, and 24'1 SL. I may do it again sometime if there's interest.

It's ok, you didn't miss much. I had a couple 1'15'2xx runs on SL and obvious potential for better, but kept missing mt's like mad. I'll keep it up for a little longer, so you'll have some more chances to watch. I'd like to sub 1'15'0 and 24'0 on SL before I reevaluate if I want to play a different course or not.

Awesome to finally see this happening over here. Once people realize that there's streaming on a fairly consistent basis, you can get more viewers (from here and elsewhere). The GE/PD guys started doing this a few months ago and some get 100 viewers or more now. Over at the-elite.net forums we set up an indicator on top of the boards so anyone viewing would notice who is streaming at any given moment. I think Mark is planning something similar here.

Checked out a couple random moments from Frigz recorded streams and I love hearing the stick audio loud and clear :)

Pretty much the same reason I haven't done much in the last few years either. I did stream some back in 2008 though when I set up a livestream to accompany the IRC chat...never really panned out back then but maybe now people are ready.

Connected my GC to my new laptop (via a TV-tuner or smt), attempting to stream now..
First time doing so, any help setting up is much appreciated :)

Help with the course I'm attempting (BC) would be nice as well. That is, if I manage to get this stream up and running :O

did MB...my record is 6.5 years old at 1:20:652 (Titan C)

my best run tonight was something like 1:22:3xx (low Hero), and I choked a run that would have beaten it by like .1-.2 or so (edit2: after rewatching the stream video, looks like I may have been in the high 1:21s or so), by hitting a bus right before the finish line :D

my thumb started to get weak after about an hour, maybe I'll try this again sometime soon, I saved my ghost

EDIT: done, my stream died for no reason and I can't figure out how to fix it right now. no PRs, had a RR flap that I think could have been 57.4 if I didn't R-tech too tight on the last turn, also had a couple sub 59 openers but didn't finish any 3laps. More later or something if I can figure out my stream issues

I'd be down to watch if you're still thinking about it. As far as the control stick, I don't think it's the 50Hz, I think it's a combination of my mic being close to the controller and my bad habit of playing too forcefully. I still get blisters on my thumb when I play for too long and I think it's because I have this tendency to move the stick extremely hard back and forth. Something I need to work on because it makes me unable to play as much as I want :-[

The thing is I have no capture card or dazzle.
I thought I could eventually stream via the twitch app on my XboxOne. I have a modded WiiU that I plugged onto the Xbox via hdmi input.
But I finally discovered that Twitch won't let me stream on the Xbox unless I play a Xbox game [smiley=kickbutt.gif]

So I gave up and have to play on the NGC until I have enough money to buy a capture card.
