When you click on a person's profile and if they do not have an avatar that is one of the default board option avatars it just displays a broken image symbol. Then if you try to open said broken image symbol in a new tab you get a message saying the page does not exist. This used to not happen. Maybe it's a new way to save bandwidth being used? Idk.

An example screenshot or just a link to profile with this property would be useful.
I'm not sure this is a site issue because "avatars" are hosted off site on other web servers, so they have nothing to do with our site. It's up to your browser to decide how to display them, e.g. broken image icon, blank image icon, icon with a red cross, etc. Unless you're talking about a different kind of avatar, but you'll need to paste a link in where I can see what you're seeing.

The same thing happens with any profile that does not have an avatar that is one of the board default choices (the "Personalized Picture" option when you go into your profile).

Edit - A further note, all of the avatar images show up fine though when just viewing the board and posts regularly. The problem only occurs when you view individual profiles.

I have noticed it for about a month, today was just the day I felt less lazy enough to post it. In the past though, I'm positive it didn't happen.

This topic makes me think about a question I've always felt too lazy to ask. When you click on someone's profil, why is there no avatar displayed?
