Title: WRs Summary Post by TvK on 01/01/12 at 16:05:13 MK7 is almost out for a month, and with the ending of 2011 I wanted to make a thread to give a quick summary of the WR activity so far. Every statistic I show is calculated starting from December 5th, because that day everyone got MK7 for at least a day and I think that we could call the BKTs WRs. Days with WRs Every day a player has held a single WR is counted in this category. If you hold two WRs for two days at the same time, than 4 days will be counted for you. It will surprise nobody, but Mick is the player who has held a WR for the longest time. It has certainly helped that he most of the time held more than 1 WR at the same time. In total, Mick has held WRs for a total of 81 days. The second player, 15 days behind Mick, is Nicola, with 66 days. Number three on this chart is Jarv who held WRs for a total of 54 days. ALAKTORN (34) and Michael F (31) complete the top 5. In total, 74 players have held a WR for at least one day. 45 players have held a WR for at least five days and 31 players have held at least one WR for at least 10 days. The players that have held WRs for at least 20 days are (+ offcourse the top 5 named above): Cole (28) Shaun (28) Liar (26) MVT (26) DoPe RiDe (22) Jazz (22) Narshen (21) Skyburst (20) Note: The Japanese player [ch21517][ch28961][ch12375] has a score of 42 days, but it's uncertain if this is one player or more than one. I will name his statistics in a note in every category. Total of single WRs In this category every single time that has once been a WR is counted. So if you're a pro at making 0"001 improvements, than you'll score high here. Again, nobody is shocked by seeing that Mick tops this chart with 39 individual WRs. The runner-up this time is the master of the tiny improvements Michael F with 33 individual WRs. That setting a lot of single WRs on one track will help you get high up this chart, proves MVT, who has made 26 individual WRs, of which 23 were set on RRM. Tied on place 4 with 22 individual WRs are Nicola and Shaun. In total there are 89 people who have set a WR. When we leave out the one, two, three, four and five-WR wonders, we see that 28 people made 6 WRs or more. These are the players who have made more than 10 WRs: ALAKTORN (17) G-Danzee (16) Jazz (14) Jarv (13) Narshen (12) Note: Shady guy [ch21517][ch28961][ch12375] scores a total of 15 WRs. Multi-talented guys Setting a WR on one track is a great achievement, but to be among the legends, you should try and get WRs on as many tracks possible. The real legends are listed here. This time it's nobody else than Mick who has come closest to eternal fame with WRs on no less than 17 different tracks! Well what more can I say? The second place on this list is for Nicola, who totals a nice total of 8 tracks with WRs. He is followed by a bunch of players with 6 tracks: Shaun, Jak, Jarv, Michael F, Hutch and ALAKTORN. Four players have a total of 5 tracks with WRs: Liar, Stacy, Alexony and Kryken. Ofcourse, the total of players with 1 WR is the same as in the above category, namely 89. 30 players have achieved two WRs on two different tracks. Note: [ch21517][ch28961][ch12375] scores high on this list, with 7 different tracks where he (they?) held a WR on. Longest lasting WRs Enough with the player statistics, let's take a look at the WR times. Times that are still a WR at this moment are counted until January 1st. A bit unexpected, the longest lasting WR is a tie between WH (No-glitch): 1'24"552 Nicola (19 days) and MW (Glitch): 1'06"237 by Skyburst (19 days). Skyburst's time was beaten yesterday, so Nicola will top this chart alone tomorrow if he doesn't get beaten this night. Nicola's time is no-glitch and some people tend to only play glitches, but this time was set before the glitch was discovered. Anyway, the third place is also a WR that also is a WR atm: DC: 1'27"969 by Cole (17 days). 13 times have lasted for at least 13 days: SGB: 2'04"945 by [ch21517][ch28961][ch12375] (14 days) MC: 2'00"912 by [ch12403][ch12403][ch12354][ch12381] (14 days) MG: 1'38"387 by [ch12399][ch12427][ch12414][ch12365] (14 days) CCL: 1'35"895 by Nicola (13 days) MP: 1'50"905 by Ridley (13 days) PPS: 1'48"803 by CaseyB (13 days) LR: 1'43"918 by Onizuka (13 days) BC1: 1'14"846 by Zwiebel (13 days) CM: 1'58"448 by RusoX (13 days) DKP: 2'00"411 by Jarv (13 days) Final statistics Some rather unimportant statistics that maybe some unimportant people might be interested in. The track with the most WR activity is Rock Rock Mountain with 31 WRs. All credit goes to MVT. Other active tracks are Waluigi Pinball with 26 WRs and Koopa Cape with 23 WRs. The most boring tracks (in terms of WR activity ofcourse) are Mushroom Gorge with only 4 WRs, Music Park with no more than 5 and Luigi Mansion with 7 WRs. Finally the track with the most changing strategy is Koopa Cape. WRs have been set using 5 different karts and 4 different sets of tyres. OK, I hope this wasn't too boring. If anyone wants to know other statistics that weren't included here, than PM and I'll see if I have them somewhere. If you guys enjoyed this, than I might do this again at the end of next month. The final 2011 WRs are: 2'04"656 by ALAKTORN on Shy Guy Bazaar, set December 30th 1'56"893 by Gray on Rosalina's Ice World, set December 30th 2'00"411 by Jarv on NDS DK Pass, set December 20th 1'53"546 by Marty on GCN Dino Dino Jungle, set December 30th 1'55"741 by Jazz on NDS Airship Fortress, set December 22nd What WR will appear to be the strongest? And a second note: After the last update, Nicola's 1'24"552 on Wuhu Loop (no-glitch) became the first WR to last more than 20 days, with a total of 22 days. Too bad for him Jarv beat it, and another WR managed to passed it as longest lasting WR: 1'27"969 by Cole on GCN Daisy Cruiser wasn't beaten until 24 days after it was set. Jak beat this one 2 days ago. The next two candiddates to become the longest lasting WR are mentioned above, namely 1'48"803 by CaseyB on Neo Bowser City and 2'00"411 by Jarv on NDS DK Pass. As they are both set December 20th, they both stand at 22 days now. Will they be beaten before they beat the record? |

Days with WRs Nobody expected it (don't mind the irony), but Mick tops this chart, and by far. His total amount of days with WRs now is 188! Two other people also passed 100 days in total, those being Jarv with 134 days and MVT who just reached 100 days today. A bit lower we see ALAKTORN ranked fourth with 78 days and co-wop Nicola, who probably hasn't even touched the game this year, with 76. In total, 84 players have held a WR for at least a day, 76 for at least 2 days, 71 have at least 3, 61 people have had a WR for more than 5 days and 51 people went past 10 days. Other people with more than 40 days holding a WR are: Jak (69), Michael F (59), Cole (54), Liar (48), Skyburst (46), Alexony (41), Lilybell (41) and Ollie (41). Total of individual WRs The top of this chart looks quite a bit different than the top of the above chart, except for the chart leader. And that chart leader is no less than Mick, who holds a total of 69 individual WRs. He stands on the podium together with two Americans, MVT and Michael F, who have made 49 and 40 individual WRs respectively. ALAKTORN has made 30 individual WRs, getting him to fourth place. On place 5, two people are tied at 22 individual WRs, these being Nicola and Shaun. In total, 93 people have made a WR, 67 have made at least 2 WRs, 56 stand at 3 or more, 40 have made 5 or more and 21 players made 10 WRs at least. Other people with at least 12 individual WRs are: Jarv (19), G-Danzee (16), Alexony (14), Jazz (14), Liar (13), ROM (12) and Narshen (12). Different tracks with WRs Mick is number 1 again here. Personally I think his greatest performance is on this chart. Mick has held WRs on no less than 24 tracks! That's 3/4 of the game! Quite far behind, it's ALAKTORN on the silver spot with 9 different tracks. The tie for the bronze with 8 different tracks is between Nicola and Jarv. The people with 7 different tracks are Michael F, Jak and Alexony. In total, again 93 have set a WR at at least 1 track. Setting WRs on 2 different tracks is only achieved by 36 people, and only 23 people managed to do it on 3 different tracks. Other people with at least 5 different tracks are: Shaun (6), Liar (6), Hutch (6), [ch12461][ch12522][ch12512] (6) and Kryken (5). Country Chart People who have held a WR come from 13 different countries. The countries who have delivered only 1 WR holder are Canada, Denmark, Finland and Ireland. 2 countries have had 2 WR holders: Australia and Belgium. Further up this chart, we see Spain with 5 WR holders and a tie between Germany and Italy, both with 6 WR holders. USA delivered 8 WR holders. Another tie between France and the UK, both at 12. The country that owns all however, is Japan, with 34 different people to have held a WR. Longest lasting WRs I don't think anybody really noticed, but one WR is on top of this chart all alone now. It's 1'45"433 on NDS Luigi Mansion by Mick, set January 2nd and still lasting today, totalling 29 days. The next two WRs both stand at 26 days, 1'55"741 on NDS Airship Fortress by Jazz and 2'01"488 on Bowser Castle by BDash. In total, 57 WRs have lasted for 10 days or more, of which 22 still stand on this day. 28 WRs have stood for over 15 days, 12 of them are still WRs at this very moment. Funny enough, he has started doing it in all of the kart sections, even on games he has never touched, as if he is some global mk authority. What he seems to not understand is that no matter what legitimate times or proof that Walter posts, he is banned from the site. The standard was set with Fenner. If you set legit prs, but have a history of cheating, you're banned plain and simple. In this case, the prescedent set actually works out quite well, because Walter has no business having any of his times on this website, whether they are legitimate or not. |

February 24th for example will go into history as the first day without a new WR. Only 5 new people made WRs this month and the average lenght of the reigning WRs now is around 20 days. So if you quickly wanted to get a WR, than you're a bit too late. But on the bright side, if you get a WR now, you're probably going to keep it for a while. Days with WRs Mick is number 1. These 2 are: 1'27"231 on Maka Wuhu (no-glitch) by Mick (12/2/2012 -> 1/6/2012) 110 days 1'11"628 on SNES Mario Circuit 2 by [ch12381][ch12358][ch12417][ch12435] (9/3/2012 -> 4/7/2012) 117 days The 4 that haven't been beaten are: 1'59"715 on Bowser Castle by ALAKTORN (set 26/3/2012) 117 days 2'00"445 on Rock Rock Mountain by MVT (set 26/3/2012) 117 days 2'09"909 on WII Koopa Cape by Chikuten (set 21/3/2012) 122 days 1'59"003 on NDS DK Pass by arrive (set 10/3/2012) 134 days I actually was kind of shocked as I didn't expect either DKP or KC to be on top of this chart. From bottom to top is how I'll go. Two new players have joined the charts, with USD/JPN joining at #71 and Santos 20 spots higher at #51. Thanks to some shy activity on RR, Nassy gains 6 spots to land at #76. [ch12424][ch12387][ch12375][ch12540] was unthreatened on MT, and this saw him flying up the charts from #58 to #38. Another strong Jap player, [ch12429][ch12371][ch12354], is finally off for a big climb. He gained 13 places to reach the #34 slot. The AF WR holder Branlo moved up to #29. The old star [ch12461][ch12522][ch12512] reached #27. The final mover outside the top 20 was fresh star AdroMaster, who missed the 20th spot by 5 days. He has to settle on #21 for now. #20 and #19, Michael F and Nicola, once ranked 6th and 2nd respectively, probably ended within the top 20 for the last time. #18 ROM and #17 Flame, both most widely known for their skills on TC and KTB lost 2 spots as they didn't gain any days in June. [ch12465][ch12465] is back in the top 20 for the first time since March. Right above him, #15 if we count right, we find the guy who's making miracles lately. ZCrone is who I'm talking about ofcourse. However, there's a gap of 40 days to the next rank. #14 and #13 are for the Japs [ch12394][ch12388] and Chikuten who swapped places. #12 [ch945]rrive is falling down after reaching his highest rank ever last month and finally, #11 Tvk shows that holding only 1 WR isn't enough to stay in the top 10. The #10 slot is for ALAKTORN, one of the 6 players who have been in the top 10 since the first month. #9 [ch12393][ch12371] has moved up at least one spot every month and looks to continue this run. #8 MVT still holds on to his rank, but he'll have to look down to Doco. Despite holding a WR in June, #7 Cole lost 2 spots. #6 Liar stood his ground on the 6th place. Probably the greatest jump in June came from #5 Alexony who gained 2 ranks and will certainly be aiming to pass #4 Jarv who is left with no WRs and fell out of the top 3 for the first time. The new guy in the top 3 is [ch12381][ch12358][ch12417][ch12435], which doesn't surprise anyone I guess. France still dominates with #2 Kubica and #1 Mick. 1. (1) 724 - Mick 2. (3) 559 - Kubica 3. When we look further down we see more inactive players, including Jarv, Nicola, Shaun, G-Danzee, [ch21517][ch28961][ch12375] and Jazz. ALAKTORN has almost reached Michael F's total and surely will look to break into the top 3. Alexony has tied his countryman Jarv at 31 WRs, while 1 track wonders ROM and TvK both stand at 23. Kubica closely follows them with 22. We have to go down until the 13th spot to finally find a Jap, with Liar who stands at 19. Other Japs prove that you don't need a lot of tiny improvements to be a top player, as both [ch12381][ch12358][ch12417][ch12435] and [ch12393][ch12371] barely make the top 20. New stars ZCrone and AdroMaster are on their way to the top. 4 players in the top 20 are mostly known for mainly focusing on only 1 track. If I say those tracks are RRM, TC, BC1 and WP, everyone will know who I'm talking about. Donkey acts like the opposite of the Japs, as he scores high in this chart, and not quite as high in the total days chart. Kubica's 1'40"261 run on DH, the run was driven on 8/23/2012, not the 8/31/2012 on Cole's site. Kubica's 2'03"637 run on SGB, the run was driven on 7/3/2012, not the 7/16/2012 on Cole's site.
