Title: Proof Request Thread (last update 13 Sep 2012) Post by Detective Spril on 12/03/11 at 06:12:29 Have you been contacted recently about a time/multiple times that we need proof for? Either you can post here or reply back to the message you were sent. This thread is for reporting of inaccurate times/possible SC times/anything of that nature. Please note: this thread is not to be treated like a witch hunt. No one is out to get anyone -- just want to keep the rankings as fair and accurate as possible. 13 September 2012: Thread should be caught up and all requested ticks given. If I missed you, PM me or post again and I'll get to you. 3 December 2011: The old thread (http://www.mariokart64.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1201619459) has been locked and unstickied -- are there any issues from that thread that still need to be looked into? |

Per this post in the related MK64 thread on him, I contacted Krystian Wieczorek on Facebook asking for proof of some questionable times. He has posted on Facebook multiple times but never got back to me, so I'm removing him. Any questions, comments or hate speeches can be directed at me via PM. |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by Shock on 07/23/12 at 11:45:27 Well, I've generally been a pretty trusted player, but given everything that's happened in MKWii I want to do what I can to continue that trust. So I went ahead and played with live hands on CCI: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbOna7TfIkM I can also live stream attempts of any course live via requests in a chat if anyone wants. I might make a few more of these live hand videos for fun if people just want to watch how I play. :) |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by BPA on 07/24/12 at 02:41:39 That's a little sick Andy, lol. 48"xx in 3 tries, nicely done. I can't perform live stream but I can ask a housemate to film me playing with hands if anyone is interested. Also I'll be at CDM this summer so you can witness me playing there too if you want... |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by .Hahaae on 07/24/12 at 03:52:08 Holy shit Andy... :o Mind streaming RaR soon? I want to know how urgently I need to improve my record lol. |

Considering Chris and I will also be there, we should probably organize a small MKSC session together to have in-person validation for each other. (I'll bring my MKSC cartridge, but I may not be able to bring a handheld that has both shoulder buttons working. At the very least you can confirm that my PP timesheet is on my cartridge.) -Christophe. |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by KartSeven on 07/24/12 at 10:32:25 I can bring my GBA SP if you wanna test ZZMT during the CDM. ;) |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by El Niño on 07/24/12 at 10:50:34 That'd be pretty cool Pierre, could easily cut some AF on PC that way. ;D I'll most likely bring my GBA SP with a broken R button as well as a link cable for possible racing/ghost exchanges. -Christophe. |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by .Hahaae on 07/24/12 at 15:10:25 Getting used to ZZMT will take a little bit (but not too much effort). The main thing is that the dpad feels different and you'll never want to go back to nonzzmt |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by BPA on 07/25/12 at 05:26:50 I was thinking of writing in the CDM thread about making a mini 'unofficial' MKSC tournament. There's enough of us to make a round robin tournament or potentially a 8-person knockout style tourney, if there's time and we are in the mood. @Pierre: your offer is ridiculously tempting... must... stay... away... from... ZZMT... |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by Lafungo on 09/09/12 at 09:27:43 Now that I have met several prominent members of the SMK community as well as 4 members of the MKSC Top 10, I was wondering if it was possible for me to get a yellow (or green) proof tick on the MKSC PP. Thanks, Christophe. |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by Mario86 on 09/09/12 at 23:32:29 Is that really the way it works to get a yellow proof tick there? I want mine too, for the same reasons lol. |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 3 Dec 2011) Post by TvK on 09/09/12 at 23:58:52 From the proof page: •Video (hard proof) - some footage of you playing the game. This is usually the best way to prove yourself. Videos can either be digital (.mpg preferred, but .mov and .avi is fine) or analog (VHS tapes from your VCR). Digital videos are easy to make if you have the equipment, and can be shown to other players on the message board. VHS tapes are less convenient for you, but we have proof moderators in most continents who will be happy to view your tapes. Replays also work. •Witness (hard proof) - if someone sees you playing the game, and assures us that you are really capable of getting what you claim to be getting, that's also fine with us. But of course, that "someone" also has to be a proven player from this community or from an affiliated community. •Screenshots (soft proof) - screenshots fall into the same category as a time-scroll of your top 5 times for all your records. These can be faked so many people are not happy about this kind of proof, but at least it shows some commitment in validating yourself. •Trusted (soft proof) - if we've heard of you from somewhere else (and it's likely, because many of us play a large variety of games) and we trust you, then you don't need to do anything... but it would be nice if you provided some hard proof so we can upgrade your status =]. Maybe a bit outdated, as screenshots wouldn't be enough to get a yellow tick, but I guess we still use these requirements as our standards. |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 13 Sep 2012) Post by Butterfree on 09/23/12 at 11:02:28 Hello, the REAL Matthew Ord here. It appears that Meaks pretended to be me (Utter) in the irc yesterday, drove a DP3 time in 5 mins and it got put on my profile. It'll have to be removed. I will drive a DP3 time soon, to complete my timesheet. The time will be submitted by E-mail only ;) |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 13 Sep 2012) Post by Lafungo on 09/23/12 at 12:09:26 So it was true. ;D Sorry Utter, that's my fault. I had no reason to believe you were being inpersonated by meaks in IRC. Lesson learned: I'll demand a Yahoo Groups message before updating other people's times. -Christophe. |

If an updater wants to email him asking for proof, then remove the times from his timesheet, that would be awesome. If there is no response by October 5th, let me know and I'll go from there :) |

Isn't the proof request policy a 2-week deadline from the day the proof request is sent to the person? If so, I would say his deadline is October 7th (assuming the e-mail will be sent today). -Christophe. |

Title: Re: Proof Request Thread (last update 13 Sep 2012) Post by Detective Spril on 09/23/12 at 13:55:51 I can't remember if a hard rule was ever made about that, but if you want to extend it to the 7th (to give it an even 2 weeks), go for it :) |
