Post by KVD on 10/04/10 at 04:57:49 Now that "The Time Has Come" (and gone), the excellent Super Parigo Kart is no longer a prohibited issue to discuss on these boards, as the big secret has finally been shared. It's about time this ultimate SMK Hack got some attention here! 8-) The first PAL SMK Hack and it's available on cartridge format! The project to create Super Parigo Kart started like over a year ago and Scoub invested an immense amount of time to ensure the quality of the final product. Everything is tweaked, from official boxes, cartridges, the selectable drivers, backgrounds, item placements, CPU driving patterns, battle courses, you name it. Scoub designed most of the courses himself, but input from other people active in the French SMK community was used to design some of the tracks also. Post by KVD on 10/06/10 at 05:38:00 Clark, try MC6 (resembles MC3), GV5 (some tricky platform parts, but the MC2 style zipper jump is very cool and not too difficult to perform LBs at) and GV6 (very basic, apart perhaps from the platform-jump section), I think you will enjoy those ones. ;) Also, it kinda sucks (I guess) that all the other players who submitted times so far are top 10 players, making even your ok runs seem worse than they are. At least you can scoop up UK Records to get the ball rolling vs Ben Allen (and why not Sean if he plays it at Bens...plus Gaff will get it later as well). ;) |

But the tracks are already made and can be used again directly for a potential NTSC version, that's for sure. Maybe the backgrounds and the characters can be re-used without lots of work too. But I'm pretty sure that Scoub would have to re-program many things, like the speed of the CPU, the items' location, etc. Dunno how many time it would require, but he already spent a HUGE amount of time into this, so let's hope he can get some extra motivation to create NTSC cartridges one day ! ;) |

Clean run, no hits :P I have it on tape, but will go for a better one here! NonNBT flap (12''40) should at least go down to a low 12''3x, regarding the opener! So for now also no video upload. NBT flap (12''24) was my 2nd try and only includes the snowslide/boost combo at the first corner, so I got this record after five min or so ::) Maybe a low 12''1x is reachable when adding another boost at the end of the lap, like in Scoubs vid.
