It would appear that the opportune time to campaign for the upcoming contest is upon us.

Now, judging by the group that I was placed in by our knowledgeable administrators, my journey in this tournament shall be a difficult one. However, I am determined to do my very best in this exciting endeavor to become the Cinderella story of the 2010 contest.

I will put hours upon hours into my own personal image to pursue this seemingly unreachable dream that has taunted me for so long. If I may make an allusion to the Greek myth of Tantalus..for those who are not familiar, Tantalus resides in the underworld, where he is plagued by an unquenchable thirst. He is surrounded by water, yet when he stoops to consume the magnificent liquid, the liquid moves away, and he is unable to drink. I am Tantalus, victory is my water. Please let me have a drink.

Nice story. Decent campaign. I felt motivated after reading it, but then I read Brutus's post and I lost that feeling. I'll be honest, I will probably end up voting for myself in this group if that is even allowed. If not I'll consider voting you or Howes. I may lean Howes over you because of Howes' IRC chat presence. Undecided. It's motivating but it lacks the incentive for people to seal the deal and give you their vote without doubting themselves.
