I saw this thread fit to stay open. So I reopened it.

The Day The Earth Stood Still and Avatar are my current favorites, what with their morals about peace and harmony with nature.

Ironically, I also love We Were Soldiers, Team America: World Police, or any other war/military movie that honors America's heroes.  [smiley=beer.gif]

Btw Harvey, have you seen the war movie Letters from Iwo Jima?  If not you should check it out, I think you'd like it.

Coming from an American who's seen pre-80s movies...  Or are you trying to tell us that you're actually Mexican? ::)

Well that's not entirely ironic since Avatar has 3 parts to it: the nature part, the anti-Bush/anti-Iraq/anti-colonialism part, and the part that honours America's military heroes (when the weak colored foreigner is on the back foot and feeling oppressed, the situation demands for a good, honest, passionate, white American soldier to spread his virtuous love of American freedom and liberty and empower the weak colored foreigner to stand up for himself).
