Title: Mafia Signups: Pokemafia Mania! Post by Honko on 03/16/09 at 12:20:41 Opening the signup topic now because I'll be away for most of the next two weeks before it starts. This game will have Pokemon-themed roles. It will be a closed set-up, meaning you don't know what roles are in the game except for your own. Other than that, most of the rules will be the same as the past 3 games. Day 1 will start on the 28th or 29th of March. There are 19 places available in this game. It's smaller than the last two games because I want all active players. Only sign up if you plan on being active, posting often and always trying to help your team win. If more than 19 people sign up, I'll give priority to people who I know will be active, and people who haven't gotten a chance to play in every game. I won't just pick the first 19 to sign up. Even if you don't make it in the game, I'll probably end up needing a replacement or two in case a player disappears during the game. As long as you sign up between now and the 27th, you've got a shot. Let's do this. [smiley=uzi.gif] |

I don't think replacing players mid-game should be allowed. This brings a change in the game that most players shouldn't have to deal with. If the player cannot complete his duties in the game he should not be signing up. If he goes absent from the game, then his team will just have to deal with that. |

Stuff like Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Eevee, Magikarp, Jynx, Tauros, etc. There are around 75 of those total (I'll put a full list of them up when the game starts, although obviously most of them won't be in the game). So if you've ever followed Pokemon, you've probably heard of the ones I'll be using. |

The end of the last game was pretty dull because of all the roleclaiming. If we'd been down to 10 players but the only certainties we had were those that had been confirmed by actions (Scott and Booth confirmed as town by Ellis, Oneshot confirmed as Alpha Male by Honko's vig kill attempt) it would have been a much more exciting end because there was no way town could have been certain that I was a PGO, or that you were a jailkeeper. Also, given that town have won both of the last two games reasonably comfortably, it seems like a good idea to shift the balance slightly towards the mafia by having a closed set-up. |

Maybe we can also say that the ramoloss guys have absolutely no power for townies, because they are just unusefull in the game. BTW, I had a question, can we integer the legendaries then? So that, as I previously said, Mewtwo could be a sort "leader" or main power role of the mafia group... We also may add as the "three protectors" Zapdos, sulfura and artikodin for the townies. so that they have special roles to protect the others. What do you think about that? ::) |

BTW, you didn't answer my question, why is it so impossible to include one or 2 more players? I often play this game, and I know that we can includemore players if we add 2 normal pkmns and then, maybe (if there are too much players), also add another bad pkmn that hasn't any power role. :-X Edit: MVT, I just found the whole generation of pkmn song. The only thing is that they are all in French but the song is exactly the same. If he starts messing around with it less than 48 hours before we're due to start I think it'll spoil the set up. I'm sure someone will drop out and we'll need replacements anyway. |
