Sure that there was a post on SL but couldn't find it ::), anyway: Had 1.18.7 on SL with 2shrooms at the normal spots but couldn't seem to get much faster last night so had a go at just using one shroom for the first stage. Managed 1.17.9 immdiaetly :) Is it just because i am poor at my flap time (25.2) as i was told that 0-2-0 was the quickest way ???

There could be a problem with the way you do your flap. By looking at your 1-shroom splits, I would think that you could easily get under 25.0 with 2-shroom. My best splits are very similar to yours except for the flap which I have a 24.9. So it has to be the shrooming thats slowing you down

I'm not sure how you currently try to flap but you just need to make sure you hold very tight to the corner just coming out of the tunnel. Quickly go into an R, shroom before you hit the snow off the course, and then shroom again before you lose speed holding as closely to the boundary as possible. Then release the R to shoot you back onto the track. I feel like I'm probably pissing you off because I'm telling you stuff you already know, :-/ but when you hit that shortcut perfect, you'll definitely know it. Hope that helps

Not at all :) It's the 2nd shroom spot that i obv cannot do. Maybe am timing it wrong :-/ Will just have to practise

Hey, I was just working on that yesterday. And it seemed that the 0-2-0 strat is better IF you get a good flap, but it is hard to do.

My main problem is the second shroom aswell though. I know that it works best when I hit it while I'm on the barrier between the main path and the slower snow (holding a R).
Also, I get greedy a lot and hit the corner.
