When playing Bowsers Castle on my 3lap it always seems that the last fireball thats shot at the SC won't let me by. If i can dodge it i can get a new PR of under 2"25 at least. Anyone have any tips on getting around it. If i hear Bowsers laugh after hitting the damn thing again im going to smash the console..That fucking smug ass dinosaur

BTW You need to beat the fireball on the 3rd lap to get 2'25 ;)
And you should have already figured out how to deal with this problem a long time ago cuz you need to beat the fireball on the first and second lap before you can worry about the 3rd :P
And based on your other posts, if you can't beat it....I'm sure you can find another sc. In fact I think if you shroom down the stairs and clip the fireball on the left side you can jump the wall.....you should have under 2'00 in no time ;)

fireball on the 1laps no problem i get past it at least 2 secs before its fired, 2lap its not even in the area when i go by, but the 3lap dispite using diff shroom spots always seems to be there greeting me and i don't want to find another way because i want the best time possible, if i can beat it i can get around 2'23 possibly 2'22...oh well guess ill have to drive faster...HA

i have not summitted any times yet for i just discovered this site about a week and a half ago and i thought you could only submit your times through videos but after i found that to be false i decided to get a PR for every course first. i have only rainbow road which i havent even attempted in TT and im working on my BP and BC because i know i can get better on both. My time for BC is 2'25'658 i think and thats with hitting the fireball and making it over gap at the very end.

What? The crap that happened to me on rainbow road? Man, obviously you don't play GP or Vs. enough to know some fucked up shit can happen (blue shells missing the front player, other players getting stuck and finishing 10 minutes behind the field) that was a one time thing and besides, what’s wrong with including your favorite game while having the best time in your life, the shrooms just made it better, there’s things you will see you don't even would never even notice. It just makes you appreciate it so much more besides MKDD is not just about getting the best time trial time you can, its about having fun with a brilliantly made game we are blessed to have considering how crappy SMK was and how not crappy but still not as creative MK64 was. This board really needs to lighten up, i hate to think what you guys would do if you found out one of the best players on your site was gay, which im not ruling out with Moritz after seeing the opening to his vids...kidding Floorzits Rocks :)

My experience with the game so far is this...there is an imaginary course boundary that exists above all exterieor walls of a course, thereby limiting shortcut possibilities. The only shortcuts or glitches we've found are on places of courses that have no walls to begin with (The jump in WS or the Bridge in DDJ). Your section of course on Rainbow Road has a boundary. That is why I don't believe you. If you are right and it really did happen... I apologize to you, especially because of my bluntness, however, I'm sorry to say, I don't believe you.

It didn't happen at the boundry, it happend right before the last turn going into the pipe there is that little section before the fence starts on the left, for some reason when i got hit with the star i went flying off the course extra far not that far but just enough to hit me next to the pipe on the outside. It might matter but i was the toadette cart and my friend was bowsers big ass Kart whatever its called, he had a star and im pretty sure he had a golden mushroom( we were playing frantic items since he can't beat me without them) ill have to ask him, but i got hit pretty damn hard.

sorry matty, i reach the gap at around 2'07''500 i estimate i could be wrong and last time i hit it and it wasted at least 4 secs for me which i didnt do any MT's nor have any mushs for the rest of the race because i did not think i was going to beat my proir time after getting hit, i cant only imagine what the time will be if i can dodge the fire ball cleanly

If that's the case, you could just shroom on 1 and 3 so you've got time to go around the fireball before the jump.
Although, when I was at that stage, I think I still shroomed on 1 and 2. You just have to go to the left of the fireball. But it's difficult cuz if you go too far left you'll hit the edge of the wall and get knocked in the drink :(

I practiced BC a long time (haven't published them by now), so I know a way to 'beat' the fireballs in every situation. But you'll have to practice that:

While driving in front of the SC, you have to drive from the right to left side without presing R. Everyone should think you'd want to hit the corner left to the SC. But before hitting the wall you have to press R for sliding. By pressing R and left you will fly around the fireball over the SC.

But you'll have to practice that!

Your quite right Trystan, SMK and MK64 are both classic and excellent games, however i was more along the lines of refering to how lucky we are to have more elaborate course designs and graphics incorperated into the MK series. Im not sure i completly understand what your talking about Einzeller, i think i do, but i will try what you said.. thanks

Ok a couple things. First, I agree totally with Matt - Bowslet, you just seem to love talking bullshit that makes no sense. As you can read from my previous post, I'm not "popping in randomly"- this vacation I took was my first stretch since registering where I have not had at least 4 posts per day. The first part of your post makes no sense Bowslet. Nothing anyone in this forum has said against you had been a false observation, except maybe the topic where you talked about taking drugs and someone called you a druggie, but that might have even been true. Matt Brown has made some accurate observations proving that, basically, you are all shit- none of your claims about times or glitches are possible or even make sense. Here and there you make a post that people can actually understand, but that's probably when you're not actually high off shrooms (your favorite ::)) or some other thing, but that quickly gives way to your usual practice of doing the things you accuse me and Matt of doing, which is making "inaccurate observations" and long strings of words that make no sense. You are wasting everyone here's time and you generally are just an asshole on this forum. Maybe you've been telling the truth and not being believed. If that's the case I apoligize, but I really doubt this. So please get your act together or just shut up.

I mean it's not rocket science ;)

Bowser shoots fireballs out in 12 second intervals. Therefore, with a time of 2'22, you would have to be hitting the one infront of the one that would give you 2'25, hence you would have to be hitting the one that would give you a time of 2'13 if you just got ahead of it. And if you were having real trouble with this piticular fireball....I'm sure you could slow down a bit b4 the SC and ONLY get 2'15 ;D

And if that was the case, you could
1. Slow down and take a modest 2'15 or maybe high 2'14 on the track, or
2. Go around like you said (which only takes 2 extra seconds max) and settle for 2'16 :P

Look, there's one fireball that crosses the gap at 2'04 which would be impossilbe for you to hit.
The NEXT fireball crosses the gap at 2'16, and if you hit this one, it would be impossible to get under 2'26 on the course!

However, you claim to be hitting a fireball that crosses somewhere inbetween these two, which simply doesn't exist.

Hence, therefore, and in conclusion: You are full of Shit!

You were most likely having trouble with one of the earler fireballs.....which means your time on this course was about 2'33 - 2'37. And 2'22 is a complete lie :'( ;)

Your right matt, I did have trouble with the earlier fireballs...ummm.... back in December maybe. I’ve been playing BC since the game came out in November, I know when the fireballs come and go, that’s why I deliberately made a statement that didn’t make sense, I knew you guys would jump at it and get all worked up, I’ve seen it on prior posts before(RR shortcut, MM time trials). Look how many times I changed my story, just to keep making you research and toil, and by the way my pr is now 2'21 if you weren’t paying attention, and like I said if you want videotape I will be happy to send it :) Enter Cowman and Casey for another "your full of shit"

My view on this issue has been very clear from the start. I seriously doubted John's claims because he started out obviously lying about his BC times, then changed his story to say he was just kidding, then apparently changed his story again to say he was still kidding, but he still had got those incredible BC times.
