I'm sorta bored with this game...so I had to spice it up a bit. I read challenges like this on the kart64 board a long time ago, so now to start it on SMK:

Course: DP3

Target Time: 9"57 (NTSC)

Driver: Bowser or D.K.

What to do: when yuo start, turn around and clear the first corner heading backawrds (last corner normally) hit the second corner (second last corner normally) anywhere on the yellow blocks. If you hit the blue blocks, it doesn't count, please be fair and don't send in times that you got by cheating. So now, turn around drive back to the finish line and press start when you are about to pass it. The Give Up? Yes/No screen should pop up. The bottom of the No should line up with the 'top' of the finish line, so that there is no space in between. This is how I read my time. SO if your No does not line up 100% add or subtract some time from the time displayed. I say about 1 black/white finish line block is about 0"02, so go from there I guess...if you really want to be good, record your time and play it in slow-mo (this is actually how I did mine). Well, im not 100% sure to understand which is the wall to hit but if what I understood is right, I would have gotten 8"83.

When you say the 2nd turn from reverse, do you talk about the big u-turn where you generally boost or the 1st part of the last turn complexe, like where there would generally be a bit of grass and a wall on the left(before the final last turn which is to the right with wall and grass on the right)?

I did my 8"83 hitting the wall of 1st part of last turn complexe since thats where the yellow wall was the most exterior and anyway, Id have difficulty to believe you can get to 9"57 going all the way to the u-turn and coming back to finish line! :P

yeah, I think you did it right...too bad you beat my time. I only tried about half a dozen times or so, maybe I should try and beat yours, hehe.

But just to clarify, when going reverse, you take the first corner to the left, and then you should be lined up with some yellow blocks. I can't explain it better than that :(. just do the first (last) corner and you should see yellow blocks which are part of a wall that blocks you from the second last corner, okay not really a corner but a bend of some sort. I hope this clears it all up.
