Title: Snow Land
Post by Sim666 on 04/08/03 at 15:10:53

Well, I was just playing some MKSC tonight, focused on SL. Ive changed a lot my way to slide through snow, since thats really what matters(well, in non-tree-tricking-driving at least) and got 1'09"05/21"10 cutting pretty much every corners where there is snow on the inside.

I was just wondering if anyone remembers how looked the WR back in 2001/begining 2002 before tree-tricking discovery or well, if you know just how look the best times without it?... I remember back in early 2002 I think, or maybe late 2001, the japanese had this WR in the high 1'09s and people were really amazed or just barely believed it...

so can anyone confirm is tree tricking is faster or slower than the shroom-glide thing used for water and snow?

Tree-tricking is faster in SL, thats for sure. Im just wondering what are the best times without it... No big deal anyway if nobody remembers, I have my own idea on what would be the courses' limits with only sliding through snow and no tree-tricking.

lol, you dont say!! i've watched some of the japanese vids and not ready to trick off one thing to another yet.. so what do you think i should trick off?

also how many of the top 10 times for mc1 (mksc smk) flaps were done by tricking off that first corner?

I'd like to put my own opinion forward here:
I saw the video of the Japanese WR (1'01"30, OMG that is crazy! And with Toad!), and most of the object-tricking (I now refuse to call it tree-tricking, as it has evolved from just that) was actually off walls.
That was also the way I did it (I tried to emulate the Japanese run. Silly me :P), and it netted me a 1'04"xx.

And answering your other question (which I didn't see), I don't know, but it's probably all ten, seeing as how they're so damn fast.

I should check whether I'm in the top 10 for that. Probably am, but maybe not...
