i challenge evryone to beat my gv1 time without ANY techniques. so no hop-jump jump-slide or gap leap.
just plain simple racing! ill buy that one a beer (when im able to haha)

Err...

Are we allowed to hop over the yellow bumpers? Because they slow you down.

Or do we just drive over them and only corner the turns by pressing the turn button only, no jump.

Jamie can beat this cos hes NTSC. I suppose a decent time to aim for on NTSC that is comparable to 1'09"23 is roughly 1'07"7x. Of course just a guess. I suppose if Jamie wants to try and and set an NTSC mark to beat that is better.

i didnt use the jump button at all! i dont really consider that a technique but if you want to compare you shouldnt either

you can do boosts without jumping 8)

I just did a 1:07.61 (NTSC) in a few minutes.. I'm pretty sure I can get a 1:06.xx.. I might give it a try if I have time.

if the time sami said was simular to the pal time is correct then you are a better carter then i will ever be....
i coulnd take a tenth of a second of if i'd cart for a year. (doing it like this without jump ofcause)

Well, maybe I'll try this challenge during holidays.

And your times at GV1 with the jump (with L or R !), but without the shortcut ?? Did you already try ?
My times are 1'07"42 - 13"37 !

My fastest without the bridge jump was something like 1'06"79. Now, if you're doing it without using L or R by any means, that's different. In that case, I might be able to do 1'09"xx or 1'10"xx. By the way, it might be possible to do boosting, if you held R before the start of the race and keep on holding it for the rest of the race.

i have to admit that my pr is the same time....
not that i cant use the hop-jump or jump slide but i just cant do it on these sharp-corner tracks like the gv's or the bc's....

it does work well on the dp's, mc's and ci's for me....

oh and i have not been able to do the gap-leap yet....
i will eventualy....but at this point it's to early (only been driving for months not years)

Hey the heck do you jump onto the platform from GV1? No matter how fast I am going I can't do it! Any advice??

It's insanely difficult indeed.
I regard the GV2 one impossible, the GV3 one is easy tho.

Maybe you should try a boost, but i don't know how experienced you are with that technique (have you ever boosted?)
