Pierre L'Hoest fought hard on Ghost Valley 3 to tie the PAL Lap World Record at 0'14"75*
Karel van Duijvenboden had a fight with Koopa Beach 2, and reached a World Record on PAL of 0'55"50
Florent Lecoanet took another World Record this week with a strong 0'50"74 on Vanilla Lake 1 PAL.

PAL Activity:
PAL World Champion Karel van Duijvenboden is still deadlocked with #2 Pierre L'Hoest in terms of an equal amount of cut with some small PR material followed by strong World Records from each. Karel making the cut on KB2 and Pierre hitting a lap WR tie on GV3, awesome work guys!
#4 Florent Lecoanet made his debut on his strong 2P track, Vanilla Lake 1, and has hit a World Record there this week on PAL!
#6 Sebastian Stellmacher, the German SMK Champion is back strong, however he had a number of Non-NBT PRs, some solid work, with excellent VL2 times aswell. We look forward to see more of his progress.
#13 Pierre Coste of Paris, France drives 3 strong NBT PRs spread around MC1 and MC4 cutting some average finish nicely.
#27 David Bonne drove some excellent improvements to his CI2 records and passes close rival from Sweden, Eklund and also former Champion of France Jerome Gava.
#33 Sean Billingsley continues to keep it up with his NBT PRs shaving off over a full point on the average finish and closing the gap towards Franck Mazieres of France.
#46 Mathieu Jaspard, the Champion of Belgium returns again and has some PRs on Special Cup along with a small cut to his BC2 fastlap. Three Dutch Legends await ahead as he continues to improve.
#52 Alvin van Asselt makes the cut this week with a few PRs and takes down Seb Pereda as he continues towards the top 50.
#57 Angelo Di Vano, the Champion of Italy is continuing to move up very fast this week with a number of strong PRs and is on Alvin's trail as the two Legendary karters approach the high ranks of the Belgian SMK veterans.
#66 Stacy Needham of the UK returned with a small PR on BC1 fastlap.
#69 Julien Brangeon worked on Mario Circuit 3 as this weeks improvement making a strong cut there and is on route to reaching former Sweden #1 Alderborn.
#83 James Jones and #85 Marc Goulette... the battle rages on! Team UK member Jones continues to set a high level of PRs on all round tracks. Marc works on fewer tracks but makes more significant cuts and also a high average finish improvement. Both karters have the pace to join the active players above, keep on karting!
#106 Fabio Sacco, Italy's #2 karter drives 12 strong PRs, working predominantly on Flower Cup and Special Cup with solid technique as he lands within #110. A similar cut next week will land him at the Top 100 range.
#131 Steve Bayliss had a quick PR session and GV2 looked like a good option where a few new times to maintain his rank happened.
#142 Samuel Gomez made 3 PRs on Special Cup, passing a Dutch karter in the process.
#156 Tanja Broennecke drives a pair of nice Mario Circuit 4 PRs and is trying to rival Sue Cladingboel as she comes very close on the fastlap, but reaches a Women's World Record on the 5-lap.
#182 Emeric Gosselin returned to PAL briefly for some quick PRs and a pass ahead of two karters.
#189 Leyla Hasso maintains her position this week with a few GV1 PRs not quite reaching her rivals, but some solid work on Rainbow Road with a near crashless 5-lap.
#209 Daniel Pabst of Germany returns to SMK this week fully improving his records for a large cut and lot of potential.
#260 Lindsay Molenaar after eating some more of the Dairy Milk chocolate drove 4 new PRs on Mushroom Cup cutting a few points to climb closer to Tournament rival Neil Skipper of the UK.
NTSC Activity:
#10 Florent Lecoanet also played a bit on the NTSC side of SMK this week with a few new PRs here and there.
#12 Soul Kobayashi, the Japanese Champion worked on CI2 and the VL tracks making good progress with nice improvement as he moves a little closer to #11.
#13 Luis Felipe Ferrari of Brazil stayed with MC4 this week hitting an NBT PR to keep up a little with Soul.
#25 Toshi Miura has continued to work hard on his weaker tracks and has achieved #3 in Japan after passing Masakazu Goto. Toshi has more rivals ahead on the way to the Top 20.
#27 Michael Fried improves a couple of PRs sticking with Non-NBT.
#36 Karl Ludwigsen stayed on Rainbow Road Non-NBT and driving some PRs including a sub 1'27" time.
#56 Pete Crawford hit a pair of new PRs on Koopa Beach 1 and is maintaining his rank.
#59 Emeric Gosselin is moving up again towards Pete after some latest PRs on NTSC following his PAL adventure this week.
#122 Masa Sagawa climbs more ranks with latest PRs as he learns further techniques under the teachings of Toshi. Masa Sagawa now faces Ecuador Champion, Xavier Sanchez.
#152 Ryan DeMaster hits 4 PRs, working on a few in each cup and has almost reached Barbetta.
#159 Jacob Goldfinger improves 2 PRs this week; MC1 with a 1'02" PR and BC2 fastlap. |

New World Records
Pierre L'Hoest had an adventure on the GV tracks this week with strong WRs on Ghost Valley 1 with 1'01"63 and 0'12"10 then a new Ghost Valley 2 1-lap WR of 0'11"86.
Karel van Duijvenboden also drove his own WRs; a Mario Circuit 2 IB lap WR tie of 0'11"60* and then following up with a Koopa Beach 2 lap WR on PAL of 0'10"44 and a Rainbow Road lap WR cut to 0'17"17.
Florent Lecoanet also hit his own PAL World Record this week with his strong track Koopa Beach 1, a new 5-lap 0'48"67.
On NTSC, Michael Fried hit another trick WR on Donut Plains 3 lap of 0'02"60.

PAL Activity:
PAL World Champion Karel van Duijvenboden was in good competition with rival #2 Pierre L'Hoest as they both hit some solid WRs on PAL this week and other PRs to keep the top of the PAL rankings active.
#4 Florent Lecoanet France's 2p mode Champion also threw in a surprise with a strong WR on Koopa Beach 1 to hit the charts this week.
#9 Christophe Paquin hit BC3 further this week with another cut to his 5-lap and fastlap.
#19 Matthew McCarthy, UK's #2 made a sudden return with some PRs on Choco Island 2... strange... but you'll read why further down.
#28 Bjorn Eklund, Sweden #2 has returned with a few PRs including an NBT lap on MC4! This will help him greatly as he utilises NBT on more tracks. He has passed rival #29 David Bonne who PR'ed this week on DP1.
#33 Sean Billingsley set his very first UK #2 PR on Choco Island 2 5-lap which later in the week was taken back by McCarthy. They are still very close there, it seems CI tracks are a TT strength for Sean; he also hit a few other PRs cutting good average finish.
#47 Jean-Francois Schepers drove a new lap PR on BC2.
#53 Alvin van Asselt trims his stats a bit further with some new times and extending the lead from Nouwen.
#61 Angelo Di Vano, the Champion of Italy has gone from strength to strength with several great new records of Italy as he approaches the Top 60 with a good average finish improvement.
#70 Julien Brangeon was unable to keep up with Angelo this week however he made 7 very nice PRs and a significant cut to maintain his position and is close to passing Cruypenninck.
#88 James Jones continues a sharp rivalry with French karter #89 Marc Goulette as they both cut equal amounts of average finish and climbed at the same time. James has passed a former site UK Champion Matt Leech to reach #14 in the UK.
#119 Fabio Sacco continues to climb well making his way to the Top 100 with great new times on Flower, Star and Special Cup.
#143 Samuel Gomez drove some strong new times with Bowser and makes great progress including passing Piet den Dulk in the process.
NTSC Activity:
#13 Luis Felipe Ferrari of Brazil returned to SMK with some PRs and cuts some average finish off.
#26 Toshi Miura made some more quality PRs and continues to defend his position while climbing towards Goto.
#27 Michael Fried drve a new trick WR lap and 3 more PRs increasing a lead from Girard.
#36 Karl Ludwigsen set 6 new PRs with some good work on the BC tracks.
#56 Pete Crawford passed US Kart Legend and Kart 64 Historian Kevin Booth and also Eric Balch this week with the latest efforts on some PRs with a -1 average finish slice.
#62 Emeric Gosselin improved a PR gaining a rank over Guillaume Sylvain of Canada.
#130 Masa Sagawa of Japan is again taking the ranks by storm with great new records all round on his tracks and a great pace towards the Top 100, keep on karting!
#152 Ryan DeMaster returns to SMK with a PR on Bowser Castle 1 5-lap.
#157 Gustavo Krieger of Brazil has re-written his full list of times with some excellent cuts and a very large climb. He will provide competition for Ryan DeMaster and Masa Sagawa very soon with this pace. |

PC repairs
Graphics card has been replaced on the PC at home, so all fixed now 
UK Meet 4th October to 8th October = Awesome
As many of you are aware there was a UK Meet last weekend, with visitors from Netherlands, Norway and France, plus many of the UK karters and other gamers making a guest appearance. Some nice SMK fun matches took place, including a mini Tournament for the Beginner/intermediate karters. Video of the Leyla Hasso vs Vincent van der Fluit final will be created soon. Games, a great venue, plus Birthday cake for my 25th Birthday, Kebabs, a night out in town and even some football on the Sunday! There is a topic on the SMK Thread of the Forum, photos have been posted there also, check them out. There are also more photos on facebook, for those of you that are on there.

Pierre L'Hoest took the IB PAL lap World Record of Mario Circuit 2 with 0'11"60 and some Koopa Beach 2 World Records for 5-lap and a tie on the 1-lap: 0'55"54 and 0'10"49*.
Karel van Duijvenboden made a lap WR tie on GV3 1-lap PAL 0'14"75*.
Christophe Paquin the trickmaster returned with a good set of trick/glitch World Records as follows: GV2 trick 5-lap 0'50"04, MC4 glitch 5-lap 0'36"97 and 0'01"51, GV3 trick lap 0'02"65 and RR trick 5-lap 0'56"75.
On NTSC, Michael Fried also drove a few trick/glitch World Records as follows: DP trick lap 0'01"80, VL2 trick 1-lap 0'02"74 and RR trick 1-lap 0'01"58.
Tyler Worley hit a super strong World Record for Koopa Beach 1 NTSC at 0'45"96*.

#2 Pierre L'Hoest had a stronger week, taking the WR on MC2 lap and also some strong WRs on Koopa Beach 2.
#3 Sami Cetin, the UK Champion returns after his Birthday meet weekend adventure with a small PR on MC1 lap.
#9 Christophe Paquin improves a PR on BC3 NBT and also sets a good selection of new trick/glitch WRs on PAL.
#13 Pierre Coste drives Paris records on Mario Circuit 1 this week with solid efforts and a good 5-lap.
#18 Kalle Videkull focused on BC3 and DP3 during this week and made some good Non-NBT PRs and is points away from Christensen.
#20 Manuel Babjar hit the record of Germany he has been after on Rainbow Road fastlap.
#28 David Bonne passes Archibald Lefevre with his latest Non-NBT PRs predominantly on the DPs.
#31 Guillaume Leviach made a nice chop to his GV1 fastlap platform jump lowering his average finish well this week.
#33 Sean Billingsley improves a PR on Choco Island 2 5-lap, breaking the 1'10" barrier, following the UK meet where he set an earlier PR while people were busy playing match race on other tvs.
#51 Ben Allen improved a PR on Choco Island 2 fastlap making a small cut to his average finish.
#53 Alvin van Asselt also set a small cut with Mario Circuit 2 5-lap.
#56 Geoffrey Ewbank continues his work on KB1 this week with extra effort put in with a sub 1'00" time a little stronger this week using Non-NBT.
#68 Angelo Di Vano, the Champion of Italy is unstoppable this week with a great average finish cut and some introduction to NBT after some training on it. He is in competition with #70 Julien Brangeon, who makes his improvement with 5 new PRs to maintain his rank.
#98 James Jones of Norwich in the UK has made it to the Top 100 with an excellent climb if a similar amount to Angelo, just a bit further down. His PR level has improved greatly and he is #16 in the UK. He is also followed by rival #99 Marc Goulette who has cut through to the Top 100 also with some nice times and gains another rank in France in the process.
#107 Patrick Wessels is a former Tournament Legend from 1993-1994 time who starred alongside Steven Zwartjes in SMK competitions and more back in the day. He makes an amazing return to SMK during the UK meet and has some nice PRs and a climb to #13 in Netherlands.
#111 Steven Cotton of the UK also made a celebrity guest appearance to the UK meet and had some good match races vs rival Patrick Wessels. Steven improves his VL1 PR also this week, closing the gap towards Django Vaal a little.
#123 Fabio Sacco is following in the footsteps of fellow Team Italy member Angelo with a near enough full list of new times and a large climb this week. Top 100s watch out cos Fabio will be there soon!
#131 Steve Bayliss hit a lot of PRs on PAL and has passed Women's UK and World Champion Sue Cladingboel, to also secure another UK rank at #23.
#152 Samuel Gomez made many all round records across the cups this week and climbs a few more positions including a Belgian rival.
#156 Tanja Broennecke Germany's fastest female karter makes a return to SMK with some good times for MC1 and MC3. She has some great potential and may make a run towards Sue for the women's #1.
#162 Daniel Caterbow of Germany drives a pair of CI1 PRs maintaining his rank with the improvement on his stats.
#169 Alex Hantson of Switzerland improved on a lot of his weaker times resulting in a strong average finish cut and a climb to the Top 170.
#188 Leyla Hasso cut some of her weaker times down, though a great lap came out of MC2 and CI1 lap which was close to the UK Women's record. Leyla has passed Polish Champion Piotr Gierzycki before entering in her first ever International GP Tournament at the UK meet last weekend. Video to be made soon!
#222 Vincent van der Fluit, a rival to Leyla Hasso and John Barber in particular at the meet last weekend made a return to SMK with some great cuts on the first 7 or so tracks. He is picking up the pace well and has passed rival John Barber on the way.
NTSC Activity:
#11 Florent Lecoanet of France drives a lone KB1 PR for NTSC but a good cut putting him a little closer to Julien.
#12 Soul Kobayashi, the Japanese Champion improves his next set of times on his route to the Top 10 of NTSC and some nice cuts so far including sharp Non-NBT driving on tracks like GV3.
#15 Tyler Worley hits a 45 second World Record time for Koopa Beach 1 NTSC.
#26 Toshi Miura is making excellent progress on some weaker tracks and closing the gap to Masakazu. With further improvements he can gain another rank in Japan and pass more players on the World Rankings.
#28 Michael Fried has had an excellent week, starting with several strong cuts on many tracks and also a few trick/glitch WR times.
#49 Guilaume Leviach of France also played on NTSC this week improving some of his weaker records to higher levels on NTSC.
#58 Pete Crawford worked hard on his times to improve them all and keep in the lead of rival #63 Emeric Gosselin who is making a larger cut this week and increasing the competition here.
#149 Masa Sagawa of Japan improves a lot of records this week with hard work on his driving technique. He has made a very large improvement and has a lot of potential to climb to higher rankings. Masa Sagawa is now ranked #14 in Japan.
#158 Jacob Goldfinger delivered some new PRs climbing him ahead of a few US rivals including April Thompson. |
