New World Records

Alencar Faria has once again lowered his NTSC Donut Plains 3 1-lap World Record to 0'14"42.

Movement

PAL Activity:

#9 Christophe Paquin of France returned quickly to PAL for a small PR cut to follow up alongside his NTSC work this week.

#10 Manuel Babjar of the Germany team has brought out some great efforts with a memorable result. Star Cup was a great place for him to score points and he now sets his sights on Paquin and other karters ahead after becoming #10 in the World on PAL SMK Time Trials and #3 in Germany.

#15 Angelo Di Vano and #16 Guillaume Leviach continue their climbs with a few good PRs from each. They are chipping away at their times, learning some refinements of cornering and NBT as they go. With more PRs they will move closer to karters ahead in the ranking.

#28 David Bonne turned to Rainbow Road for some Non-NBT improvements there and is having a good time so far scoring some solid efforts, including a lap in the 17"4x.

#86 John Kennedy of Australia worked on Rainbow Road also and is going for the sub 1'30" barrier which he will reach very soon, but his target may be even further. This was coupled with another MC4 cut.

#115 Gene Tagliabue picked DP1 as his course of choice this week with a nice sub 1'20" time and a lap cut together.

#130 Ian Broom passes Paul Seabrook this week to gain another rank in the UK and place himself at a higher level. His PRs are looking good after he tightens up GV1 for a sub 1'08" time.

#162 Aurelien Durand pulls away from rival Benjamin this week with a selection of new times on various tracks. He is focusing on fewer at a time but making more significant cuts as he approaches the Top 160. Will Benjamin return to catch up soon?

NTSC Activity:

#3 Alencar Faria, the crazy PR man of the Brazilian Team; he would not give up his efforts on DP3 fastlap as he improves another World Record and hits a few more key PRs including his strong MC1 and has climbed to #3 in the World on NTSC. The battle is on for the Brazilian Title as Alencar sees Guilherme ahead.

#8 Soul Kobayashi, the Japanese Champion returns to SMK from a break with a good set of new records, working on his weaker tracks to cut some average finish and reach new goals. He is within range to aim for the next karters on the rankings to climb further.

#22 Christophe Paquin of France returned to SMK with a strong set of new times on several tracks for NTSC. His improvements have pushed him up further in the rankings.

#48 Dave Phaneuf has been running the show! The next Legend from Canada indeed as he pulls out a large number of PRs all with a high level of improvements overall that have given him a great average finish cut and placing on the rankings. Keep up the great karting Dave, and you can climb to very high ranks!

#49 Nicholas Harvey definitely deserves commendation also this week for cutting time down on some key tracks. His average finish cut has placed him within the Top 50, not far behind Dave, and ahead of Michigan State Champion, Jason Whalls.

#159 Ryan DeMaster returns to SMK this week with 4 PRs to defend his ranking within the Top 160.

#170 Chuck Foster drove 7 PRs this week and cuts over a point of average finish, passing a few karters on the way.

Team Belgium vs Team UK... and lot of chocolate, many thanks guys ;)

#11 Manuel Babjar continues his work on weaker tracks and it is paying off well so far as he climbs another rank and is now within sights of Matthias Mann.

#15 Angelo Di Vano drove 3 new PRs and has passed Sebastien Holmiere with overall statistics improvement. He will continue to work his way through the average finish gap towards the next karters ahead.

#17 Guillaume Leviach is also holding his own with a few PR improvements this week and a nice climb overall with Seb Holmiere and #7 France just ahead.

#28 David Bonne decided to stay on CI2 longer but focus more on Non-NBT round the lake and is making success on the fastlap with some further small cuts to his 5-lap.

NTSC Activity:

#4 Alencar Faria of Brazil continues to fight well lowering his strong DP3 fastlap World Record. A few more PRs on weaker tracks are also working well for him, if he keeps the pace he can challenge for the Brazilian and American Continental Time Trial Title. He is now close to reaching the 3rd place Bronze on NTSC Time Trial overall.

#50 Nicholas Harvey spent a fair amount of time cutting down MC4 after refining his techniques there building skills that will help on more tracks. He also went on to smash some PRs on Special Cup pretty well and has now passed Kentucky State Champion, Joseph Hurtgen.

#59 Dave Phaneuf from Canada has driven another strong set of PRs, working on some tracks of each cup to improve his skills. His lap potential is showing he can climb far further and he is now #11 in Canada.

#172 Chuck Foster continues to improve his times across the board, and his overall level increases. This week he is breaking more barriers on a lot of tracks and opening up new potential. A nice sub 1'00" time on VL2 was an interesting result, and other longer tracks are chopping down in time also. He is heading towards the Top 160/150 with his pace.

Alencar Faria went further with NTSC World Records this week, taking Bowser Castle 2 fastlap to 0'19"31 along with Donut Plains 3 NTSC 5-lap WR tie 1'13"90* and fastlap World Record 0'14"47*.

Movement

PAL Activity:

#6 Sebastian Stellmacher, the Champion of Germany, keeps a little ahead of rival Boucher with a few PRs using great Non-NBT and NBT skills.

#16 Angelo Di Vano set a few less PRs this week, however they were significant cuts including a good 5-lap on Ghost Valley 1. Angelo has passed Geoffrey Label with his results so far and is setting his sights on Sebastien Holmiere, not far ahead.

#18 Guillaume Leviach also had a rank gain with a strong cut, passing Michael Jongerius and is now almost in direct competition with Label for #17. Rumour has it that Label may return for a battle?

#28 David Bonne may be done with his Non-NBT CI2 after strong perseverance has broken the 1'12" barrier with consistent laps. He can gain some good positions when he hits a wider selection of tracks.

#35 Alvin van Asselt continues to cut some average finish off with new PRs including a bit more work on BC3 and a few others to lower the gap some more to the next karter. With a wide spread selection of PRs he can make some rank gains and head straight for the Top 30.

#88 John Kennedy, of Australia had a good shot at some Ghost Valley 2 and is refining his hopping skills there well with a low 1'04" time and a rank gain overall on PAL.

#120 Gene Tagliabue, also of the Australia Team has made a nice return to SMK with a few good cuts to some times. He is in close competition with a few karters just ahead, including Finland's Champion, Nuutilainen.

#134 Ian Broom of Team UK sets a bigger number of PRs this week and climbs past some more karters, just short of recently active rival Daniel Pabst and Austrian Champion Peter Elsasser.

#168 Aurelien Durand is making a little more progress this week within the Top 170 and some new PRs to get him going. He has a nice cut and potential to climb further ranks.

#172 Bejamin Thevenot stayed on Mario Circuit 1 Non-NBT this week and has a small but solid PR there.

NTSC Activity:

#4 Alencar Faria decided to go for more World Records this week. Although he sacrificed the opportunity to win some average finish (but a few points) he did hit the fastlap on BC2 that he wanted, a solid World Record; following up to that DP3 5-lap he made a WR tie and a new World Record on the fastlap. We look forward to seeing the skills he will bust out when he hits more tracks.

#55 Nicholas Harvey set only a pair of CI2 PRs for this week, however they are a solid cut under 1'10" and earning him some average finish improvement.

#70 Dave Phaneuf has cast another storm when driving new times again, after a 9 rank gain with new times. He may catch up to Nicholas to rival him in the coming weeks if he keeps the pace.

#157 Ryan DeMaster of USA returns to SMK with a single PR for VL1 fastlap but it has made a nice cut so far, we look forward to seeing more records in the next week.

#182 Chuck Foster also made a return following DeMaster with a bunch of new records to improve his overall stats and pass a few karters along the way.

Movement

PAL Activity:

#17 Angelo Di Vano, the Champion of Italy took the rankings by storm with a fantastic week, he had more time to put in and has improved his non-nbt skill and NBT also. Som excellent cuts placed him ahead of Leviach, and also Legends such as UK #2 McCarthy, Swedish Champion Kalle Videkull, former Dutch Champion Jongerius, and the 'Open ze Door' man himself, Monsieur Harold Christensen. All were in a close rivalry, and Angelo is very close to Label just ahead with even Sebastien Holmiere and the Top 15 not far out of reach.

#19 Guillaume Leviach made a slightly smaller cut than his rival Angelo however it was significant with some superb driving on Choco Island 2 and other excellent records placing him also ahead of Kalle, Matt and Harold within the Top 20 of PAL.

#29 Frederic Duarte-Leite of France continues to battle with his Team rivals just below the Top 30, with 5 new PRs, some NBT and some Non-NBT.

#35 Alvin van Asselt was motivated with Angelo's strong activity this week and went into a set of new PRs with a few NBTs also. This cut off some more average finish to bring him closer to the ranks above and extend his lead from recently active Sean Billingsley.

#43 Mathieu Jaspard, the Champion of Belgium returned to SMK strong this week with a lot of new Non-NBT PRs, he has solid potential to reach the Top 40 as we see him pass a former German Champion, Florian Stern and Norway Champion Marius Hukkelaas.

#89 John Kennedy is closing the gap to the next karter with some racing on SMK's longest track; BC2 looked like a nice shot as John hits a few PRs there.

#101 David Schiering stayed on BC1 this week to cut down some time and has gained another rank. He is now very close to reaching the Top 100.

#129 Samuel Gomez drove many PRs with Bowser Non-NBT with the majority of work on Mushroom Cup but including also a nice RR time, landing in the Top 130.

#137 Ian Broom of Team UK returned to SMK after some facebook convo's with Sami and dedided to hit a few Mushroom Cup PRs and has cut good time off on some of those, passing a few karters on the way.

#145 Rene Bauer started his work early this week for another strong set of new times and a large climb of -11 average finish cut. He is currently in the midst of other German rivals, battling over the 18th position in Germany.

#171 Aurelien Durand and #172 Bejamin Thevenot of France who recently joined have sent in their first set of new times. Both are rivals which is great to see as they climb the ranks. Aurelien takes the lead a little at this time and they are both approaching the Top 170.

NTSC Activity:

#4 Alencar Faria of Brazil has returned stronger to SMK this week and taken World Records on Bowser Castle 2 in good style! He has great driving potential and we look forward to see similar moves on other tracks. #3 is definitely within reach very soon, can he reach #2 to challenge Guilherme Arantes for the TT crown of Brazil? We will wait to see more PRs from Alencar.

#7 Pierre L'Hoest did a small cut to Vanilla Lake 2 fastlap this week with a small average finish cut to defend his overall rank.

#55 Nicholas Harvey went for good barriers this week on the DPs. Early on it was MC2 then DP1 where he reached the targets he wanted. DP2 was at first tricky but he made some nice Non-NBT times there with a sub 1'28" course time. Nicholas passed Leonardo Vieira and Pete Crawford on the NTSC rankings.

#79 Dave Phaneuf of canada worked on some Flower, Star and Special cup tracks Non-NBT and has made great progress there with another good climb to reach #15 in Canada and the Top 80 in the World on NTSC.

#115 Steve Bayliss made a temporary return to NTSC to tidy up on some of those times he had a while ago. He has so far cut a large amount off of his stats to improve his position there. He has potential on NTSC but will return to PAL soon to reach further goals.
