Julien Holmiere set a PAL World Record on Mario Circuit 2 5-lap with 1'07"58

Karel van Duijvenboden sets an NTSC World Record for Donut Plains 3 1-lap with 0'14"26.

PAL Activity:

#5 Julien Holmiere, the 3rd fastest player in France continued to play Mario Circuit 2 on PAL and despite a slower last lap he nailed the 5-lap World Record there. 1'06" potential is there so expect the MC2 master to play it again soon!

#39 Jerome Coiffard of France had a great week fighting through an average finish gap and cutting very good average finish to drive beyond the Top 40 of PAL! He managed to go sub minute on Mario Circuit 1 and delivered a very strong result on Ghost Valley 1. His Ghost Valley 2 and Vanilla Lake 2 are also sharpening and Longboosting on Mario Circuit 2 is starting to take shape.

#44 Anthony Pichard of France only played Mario Circuit 4 lap this week but made a very good cut that gained him a rank ahead of Olivier Antoine for 17th in France.

#77 Christopher Smith, the Yorkshire Champion of SMK improves on Donut Plains 3 course and lap and his potential to cut more seconds down there. He is approaching Australia's Eric Scott on the PAL rankings.

#114 Richard Lefint of France improved mostly on the Koopa Beaches on the PAL side this week but also set a couple of laps on BC2 and GV3; gaining him a few more ranks landing just short of Italy's 2nd fastest karter, Nicola Torre.

#177 Pierrick Gautier of France improved Ghost Valley 3 with some platform jumping, the lap is sub 16 seconds so his course time will gradually work its way towards the 1'20" mark. He also has potential on Vanilla Lake 2 with a very good lap. Pierick climbs to 56th in France this week, but is being fast approached by another rival.

#193 Thibault Terrasson of France set 19 new PRs this week and managed to cut a lot of average finish with early experimentation of NBT on a lot of the water and mud tracks. Thibault has big Non-NBT potential too and focus there can help drive him towards the Top 100 fast; so far he has reached beyond the Top 200 of PAL and now ranks at 60th in France.

#246 Bill Smith of the UK made some very nice cuts to Bowser Castle 2 which was previously a tougher track; he also improved Donut Plains 3 and Koopa Beach 2 gaining some ranks to pass Portuguese Champion, Estevao and land at 46th in the UK. With continued PRs Bill will climb towards the Top 200.

NTSC Activity:

#2 Karel van Duijvenboden, the Dutch Champion of SMK continued Donut Plains 3 and switched to the lap for NTSC and hit a great World Record there; along with some very nice PRs for Donut Plains 1 course where there is sub 1'08" potential and Choco Island 2 lap. The NTSC Time Trial World Title is now closer within reach!

#11 Alencar Faria, the 3rd fastest Brazilian SMK Player made a nice return to SMK this week with a Ghost Valley 1 5-lap PR; he looks forward to setting some more records soon, welcome back Alencar!

#27 Eric Olden, the 2nd fastest karter of Louisiana worked on Mario Circuit 3 some more with some great NBT times and also a nice Mario Circuit 4 lap. His Donut Plains 2 is also getting sharper with a sub 1'24" on the horizon. Eric passes Jamie White to become the 5th fastest Super Mario Kart Time Trial Player in USA.

#96 Fabrice Baro of Canada set another PR on Choco Island 2 course time, subbing the 1'10" barrier and maintaining his current overall rank.

#113 Richard Lefint of France also gained a couple of more ranks on the NTSC side with his latest PRs on DP1 lap NBT, and Bowser Castle 2, Koopa Beach 2 and Ghost Valley 3.

#237 Jordan Fetner of Texas, USA set new times for DP1 lap where he broke the 16 second barrier, and also BC3 and GV3 laps where he did the same. Bowser Castle 3 course will head to the sub 1'40" soon and his Rainbow Road course just needs another second to reach the mark there. Jordan gains a rank on NTSC this week.
