Movement PAL Activity: #7 Guillaume Leviach decided to try some NBT on Koopa Beach 2 while others worked on a new strategy there for Non-NBT and chopped a little down on his fastlap. #27 Florian Chollet sets a couple of PRs on Bowser Castle 2 with more potential for a sub 1'45" there; he maintains his rank. #43 Mickael Smolen of France is really advancing strong in the past week following some nice tests on KB2 leading to some strategy revision by other karters for the Non-NBT style and waterslides. Several other new times have also helped him to gain many ranks and land at 21st Place in France. #86 Christian Wild has had a fantastic week also with 17 new PRs including some strong cuts! His GV3 is getting faster and more consistent with some nice work in particular on the Bowser Castle tracks. He is now getting closer to a former German Time Trial Champion, Bjorn Kuhn. #97 Euan Johnstson gains a couple of more ranks this week with 5 new PRs including some good Bowser Castle 1 and Ghost Valley 3 cuts, and a small lap PR for Mario Circuit 3 going into the 18 seconds Non-NBT. #116 Daniel Pabst of Germany improves his Koopa Beach 2 course time this week and gains a couple of ranks including passing the Finnish SMK Champion. #244 Daniel Sampson improves 4 of his PRs this week including some very nice work for Koopa Beach 1; Koopa Beach 2 has more potential and his Mario Circuit 1 is shaving down in the 1'03"s. NTSC Activity: #6 Florent Lecoanet made a return to NTSC this week with several nice NBT cuts and climbs beyond Gonzalez following some nice KB2 Non-NBT adventures! #13 Ha Nyan of Japan has driven a pair of nice NBT times for Mario Circuit 3 and this has helped him to pass Tohgo to become 2nd fastest Time Trial karter in Japan once again! We look forward to see his climb towards Kobayashi next. #30 Matthias Boucher set 4 new Non-NBT PRs of strong level to Mario Circuit 1, Choco Island 1 and Donut Plains 3. He maintains his current rank. #67 Cole Gilbert of Canada made a return to SMK Time Trials this week with a new PR for Donut Plains 2 lap and gained a couple of ranks. #92 Yukiko Takada, the Women's Time Trial World Champion cut more than -5 off her average finish score this week with very nice records for Ghost Valley 1 and Mario Circuit 4. #150 Chuck Foster set 7 new PRs and gained a rank on NTSC, also close to Jon and Gabriel just ahead. His times are consistent this week, Mario Circuit 1 can definitely go down to lower 1'01"s and 1'00" soon. #229 Alex Vandegrift has had a very active week with a long list of new hits on his times with main focus on Mushroom Cup and Star Cup. With continued PRs on the harder tracks he can make more large cuts to average finish and reach the Top 200 swiftly. #297 Zack Weber moves further within the Top 300 of SMK after 13 new times in the last week. There are a lot of close ranked karters above and with another wave of PRs he is likely to make a climb there soon. |
