New World Records

Karel van Duijvenboden makes a couple of PAL World Records this week; Ghost Valley 2 fastlap 0'11"78 and Mario Circuit 3 fastlap 0'17"15.

Movement

PAL Activity:

#2 Karel van Duijvenboden is continuing his PAL Time Trial efforts with two new World Records this week. Firstly a nice Ghost Valley 2 fastlap going under 11"80, then later on a new sharp World Record for Mario Circuit 3 fastlap.

#4 Matthias Boucher cuts a small amount again on the Vanilla Lake 2 fastlap.

#71 Freek van der Steen sets a small P+R cut for Ghost Valley 3 fastlap Non-NBT and maintains his rank.

#122 Euan Johnston has had a great week with 13 PRs that have gained him a lead of Graeme and Alasdair to become the new Super Mario Kart Time Trial Champion of Scotland. He has also reached 19th in the UK and sets his target on next goals; 40/40 Scotland Records and to reach the Top 100 of the World in PAL.

#144 Alexander Walz also made impressive progress in the past week with another re-write of almost all of his times. With a pace like this he could be into the Top 100 of PAL sooner than we think. Key courses like Mario Circuit 1 have gone sub 1'03" and there is a lot of room left for improvement judging by some laps. He has also risen to 14th Place in Germany on Time Trials.

NTSC Activity:

#8 Sami Cetin is leading the NTSC pack this week with some great Vanilla Lake action so far. VL2 went generally well with some hard route island jumping going on, except for some slowdown preventing an even faster time. VL1 strategy took some time to get used to but he has gone sub 49 seconds there.

#20 Raul Henrique promised us he would leave DP1 destruction alone... but not for the fastlap! He is working onthe tehcniques there and has produced a very strong lap, almost a World Record.

#51 Chris Morton drove 3 new PRs on Star and Special Cups and shaves the average finish score down a bit further towards the Top 50 of NTSC Time Trials.

#181 Hunter Koch of USA made a couple of Non-NBT PRs, Vanilla Lake 1 is going well with plenty of room for improvement and a solid pair of times on Rainbow Road. He should be able to reach under the 1'30" barrier there with the next PRs.

#262 Christophe Tremblay of Canada is systematically improving times across the boards from Mushroom Cup downwards and is making nice progress as he passes a good 10+ karters on the ranking. Keep on Karting!
