| 3 Months until Super Mario Kart PAL World Championship Just a quick reminder, the World Championship for Super Mario Kart PAL Version is to begin 3 Months time tomorrow near Montbeliard in France. So far 16 players have send their inscription forms, and more to come! List of Signed up Competitiors so far It is an event not to be missed, we are looking forward to see more of you attending New Members Daniel Strusser, USA (NTSC 173rd, USA 79th, Knight E) Tommy Steimel, USA (NTSC 204th, USA 94th, Warrior D) Andres Peralta, Paraguay (NTSC 259th, Paraguay 2nd, Novice C) Mark Byrne, Ireland (PAL 241st, Ireland 3rd, Contender C) Vincent Tolhuis, Netherlands (PAL 278th, Netherlands 37th, Novice E) New World Records Oliver Segarra Gonzalez pulled out an NTSC World Record tie on Ghost Valley 3 5-lap with 1'12"79*. Movement PAL Activity: #7 Angelo Di Vano, the Champion of Italy made a surprise return to defend his rank with a few PRs for CI1 and KB1 NBT. #8 Sebastian Stellmacher, the Time Trial Champion of Germany also made an exciting return, working with CI1 NBT and getting very close to Angelo's position. He has a lot of potential on NBT tracks and we look forward to see his progression. #9 Guillaume Leviach forced out some good work for Donut Plains 2 5-lap and defends his rank this week. #13 Gene Tagliabue, Australia's Time Trial Champion passes a few close ranked karters to climb further after some MC3 and MC4 PRs. He is testing out flatboosting strategies on NBT which are working well for him so far. #20 Ben Allen of Team UK took a tiny break from some GP 150cc adventures and hit an IB lap cut on MC2. He still has potential left on Time Trial with some rivals just up ahead; hopefully some more PRs from him soon. #30 Alvin van Asselt keeps active with another tiny cut for Koopa Beach 1 5-lap; and two karters are just ahead in the rankings where he can become within the Top 30 of PAL version. #110 Job Plessius hit a lot of great new times this week and a huge average finish cut. He has passed Dutch rival Freek van der Steen for #13 in Netherlands and a stronger line towards to top 100 soon. Keep up the great work! #145 Arno van den Barselaar of the Dutch Team also makes his return this week with a selection of nice Non-NBT PRs and Tobias Biroga just ahead on the ranking. #207 Shane Quinlan, the Champion of Ireland also made a return with a pair of new times for Mario Circuit 4 and a new 5-lap time on Donut Plains 1, passing Mark Anderson on the PAL rankings. #218 Emily van den Barselaar also hit some SMK along with Arno making a strong set of new times on 7 boards with Bowser and defending her rank from an approaching rival. #219 Nicolas Chomette who joined recently is making good progress with a solid improvement on Bowser Castle 1. After more PRs on other tracks he will sail into the Top 200. NTSC Activity: #4 Oliver Segarra Gonzalez of Brazil had fun on Ghost Valley 3 after hitting a World Record tie onthe 5-lap with NBT, then driving a strong lap alongside. He maintains good average finish. #7 Soul Kobayashi, the Japanese Time Trial Champion delivers 10 new PRs with work on some Mushroom and Flower Cup times. He has some new Japanese Records faster than Tohgo and also climbs past Matthias Mann and Chris Balch on the NTSC World Ranking. #17 Sami Cetin improves a small PR for Rainbow Road lap. #31 Raul Henrique of Brazil advances a few more ranks this week with his latest PRs. VL2 he was particularly pleased with some solid times, and other NBT tracks are getting sharper. After improving some more weaker tracks he can push well within the Top 30 on NTSC. #46 Nicholas Harvey has had a great week, closing the gap to some karters just ahead on the rankings. He made some success long boosting on Mario Circuit 2, and also throwing in some more NBT on a few tracks which has done good. He has plenty of potential as he utilises more NBT. |
