| Next Weekend's Travel / Later Update Just a quick note, I will be travelling a little next weekend; so the update will be delayed about 24 hours to the late evening of Monday 22nd December 2008. Updates will follow as normal on Sunday evenings after that. Keep up the great PRs as you are all doing and apologies for any inconvenience New Members Welcome to... Manuel Babjar, Germany (Joining NTSC 25th, Germany 2nd, Emperor A) Marcelo Cardoso, Brazil (NTSC 178th, Brazil 15th, Knight F) Uriah Fowler, Australia (PAL 188th, Australia 13th, Warrior B) New World Records Pierre L'Hoest drove 3 NTSC World Records: Mario Circuit 3 Course 1'24"77 and 0'16"63 Choco Island 2 fastlap at 0'12"26. Florent Lecoanet somehow lowered his PAL Koopa Beach 1 World Record to 0'47"85. Movement PAL Activity: #3 Florent Lecoanet defends his rank well with a new WR cut from his crazy KB1 time, and a pair of solid Mario Circuit 1 NBT PRs. #7 Angelo Di Vano vs #8 Sebastian Stellmacher... Italy vs Germany a great battle... Hang on... yes that's right, Sebastian Stellmacher made a return to SMK this week! Following his unbeatable adventure on MKSC he put some strong efforts into Mario Circuit 1 lap with a very nice PR. Angelo however defends his rank with a few extra PRs as both lower their average finish scores a little. #19 Ben Allen chipped away at his MC1 lap this week; one that he found difficult but he is getting the techniques better. He must have had an angel on his shoulder encouraging him when he drove that PR... Potential and more PRs there to follow. #31 Gene Tagliabue, the Time Trial Champion of Australia continued to PR and has managed to break the big barrier on Mario Circuit 1 with a sub minute time, also marking the first person in Australia to reach it. Along with this he made a few more PRs cutting a decent amount of average finish as he closes in further to the Top 30. #32 Alvin van Asselt landed a nice lap PR for Donut Plains 2. #94 Steve Bayliss drove 3 new PRs; some small cuts to his strong favourite track, RR and a PR also on his weaker MC4 track. Still plenty of potential there, this could see him past a few more ranks with the average finish cuts. #151 Alain Bilodeau of France, a legendary multiplayer mode specialist who attended the CDE this year put together a selection of new PRs, mainly on Mushroom Cup and Flower cup. These included some good cuts as he has gained around 30 ranks. However he still has some crazy potential and room for improvement on Star and Special cups, along with a few other key tracks; then he could reach the Top 100s. We look forward to his next PR submission to see what he can reach! NTSC Activity: NTSC Time Trial World Champion Pierre L'Hoest continues to extend his lead from Karel with ssome more PRs / WRs as he takes a few more hard to reach times from their previous record holders. #5 Oliver Segarra Gonzalez stuck on Mario Circuit 4 as his track of choice, a tough one to do tight on MC4 but so far he is pulling out some good results. In time he can break the further barriers. #14 Guillaume Leviach is still hitting many strong NBT records for NBT with nice potential. He is reaching the higher ranks each week, so far taking down two more karters on the rankings for NTSC. #33 Akita Sounori of Japan made a surprise return to SMK. His new PRs were for Bowser Castle 2 where he managed to break the 1'40" barrier on the 5-lap and deliver a nice fastlap also. Keep up the great karting! #165 Chuck Foster has been picking up the pace more this week, keeping up his ranks with several new times across the cups. His latest PRs are stronger on Special cup, and now hitting platform jumps on GV1. #169 Hunter Koch is not too far behind Chuck, also making a similar amount of average finish improvement with his latest PRs on BC1, platform jumping on GV3 amongst others. An interesting battle could take place vs Foster pretty soon. |
