| New Members Welcome to... Hunter Koch, USA (NTSC 196th, USA 93rd, Warrior D) Bradley Parks, USA (NTSC 228th, USA 114th, Contender D) New World Records Pierre L'Hoest drove the following great NTSC World Records: Bowser Castle 1 fastlap 0'16"92, Donut Plains 2 1'23"29 and 0'16"35, Mario Circuit 4 Course 1'30"78 and Donut Plains 3 fastlap 0'14"41. Movement PAL Activity: #3 Florent Lecoanet defends his position from a rival on BC2 with a nice 5-lap PR. #7 Angelo Di Vano, the Champion of Italy had a great week, improving some of his key records to cut average finish. As a result he has managed to pass the PAL German Champion of Time Trials, Sebastian Stellmacher. #9 Guillaume Leviach improved 5 PRs on PAL, also with a solid average finish improvement overall, his best PR this week of which was a fastlap on VL2 with the big Island Jump. #20 Ben Allen of Team UK... well what can we say, from the start he has proved his worth on many games, including MKSC. We have always said that he could go far in SMK and this year he has shown that he can reach his goals with the hard work he puts in. Ben is now the new UK #2 at Super Mario Kart Time Trials following this week's PRs, congratulations! #31 Alvin van Asselt cuts his CI2 time Non-NBT below the 1'13" barrier and defends his rank. #94 Steve Bayliss returned to SMK this week to rejoin Team UK with some nice cuts to 4 PRs that have done him a great favour in the rankings; he is now ahead of former UK Time Trial Champions Matt Leech and Tom Gaffikin. #140 Alex Hantson of Switzerland hits some more PRs this week and has reached the Top 140 on PAL. His improvements are solid and with further PRs can reach the Top 100s soon. #168 Daniel Caterbow returns to SMK this week also with a pair of new times on Bowser Castle 2. NTSC Activity: New NTSC Time Trial World Champion Pierre L'Hoest, big congratulations after several weeks of solid PRs and World Records, he finally reaches #1 in the World on NTSC Time Trials. His efforts have included 5 new World Records and other great PRs to reach his goal. #5 Oliver Segarra Gonzalez made a great climb with a strong pair of BC3 PRs and also an MC4 fastlap. This has helped him to pass Matthias Mann for #5 on NTSC. He now focuses on his next targets, and big rivals ahead. #14 Tyler Worley improves his NBT KB2 fastlap. #27 Frederic Duarte-Leite drives 7 more PRs this week with more NBT and is extending his lead from Toshi Miura. #36 Guillaume Leviach is also making great progress with a little adventure on the NTSC side, and a strong average finish cut. His best work is making a barrier cut on Ghost Valley 1 with NBT. #90 Von Flyler has been flying his way into the Top 100 on NTSC this week. An awesome cut on most of his courses and fastlaps. With this pace he could definitely reach higher ranks as he continues to improve. Some of his top times have included breaking the 1'00" barrier on MC1, amongst others. #128 Dean Barnhart made a surprise return to SMK this week with PRs for CI1, MC3 and RR. #166 Chuck Foster made 6 PRs this week and is improvng his stats well as he moves up a bit closer to rival Eric Tapani. |
