New World Records

Karel van Duijvenboden made a pair of World Records on Bowser Castle 2 NTSC of 1'38"30 and 0'19"29.

Guilherme Arantes drove a World Record tie this week on Koopa Beach 2 5-lap 0'53"70*!

Movement

PAL Activity:

#8 Angelo Di Vano played only MC2 5-lap this week with some nice Longboost results so far.

#9 Manuel Babjar reached a fantastic goal that he was after, of Sub 1'06" on CI2, very well done.

#10 Guillaume Leviach also drove some MC2 but the fastlap with Infinite Boost making good progress there and another small PR.

#29 Ben Allen, Team UK's Time Trial strongman PRs on a lot of tracks this week, breaking into the Top 30 on PAL with a lot of potential still on many tracks. Interestingly he is now within range to reach Swiss Time Trial Champion Raphael Braun and a few more karters close ahead of him, including former rival, Fredy.

#31 Alvin van Asselt informed us that he is in works on VL1 fastlap amidst karting on MKWii. So far he has nailed a solid Non-NBT lap and defends his rank.

#43 Mathieu Jaspard, the Champion of Belgium has returned to SMK this week with some good PRs and cuts to pick up the pace once again. With some more NBT he can reach the Top 40 very quickly, with some famous rivals ahead.

#106 Steve Bayliss of Team UK also makes a surprise return to push ahead again of some rivals. His new PRs on the MC tracks are looking solid, with more room for improvement. Could he be making his run for the Top 100 in the next weeks? Definitely go for it!

#109 Samuel Gomez was taken by surprise this week with the challenge from Bayliss, however he did not go without a fight and defends his rank for now from another challenger. His BC2 PRs are looking good to keep things moving well.

#111 Alexandre Burel of the Plug and Play Team within France has been the man of the week with an awesome array of PRs, also practicing a few NBT cuts here and there to boost his fastlaps. He will be a definite challenge for Samuel and Steve in the next weeks, and expect him to hit the Top 100 very soon too.

NTSC Activity:

NTSC TT World Champion Karel van Duijvenboden returned to the NTSC side to continue a few BC2 adventures, tying and then sneaking ahead of the Bowser Castle 2 World Records there.

#2 Guilherme Arantes, the Brazilian Time Trial Champion worked on KB2 5-lap, making a tie World Record with Karel.

#5 Chris Balch, the Champion of Canada submits a few small PR cuts this week and defends his rank.

#8 Oliver Segarra Gonzalez of Brazil hit some more nice PR cuts this week with some work on the more difficult DP3 with potential for faster. He has passed USA Time Trial Champion Joe Bernier; we look forward to seeing more PRs from him soon.

#14 Tyler Worley of USA has picked up on improving some more weaker tracks this week which is working well to his advantage. He has climbed a rank ahead of a Brazilian rival. Could he continue the pace to one day challenge Joe for the USA Time Trial Title?

#113 Bryan Cochonour made several more PR cuts, and is working on a few of the tougher tracks to find the best strategy. He is making a good pace to head towards the Top 100s.

#179 Kevin McAteer is really picking up the pace this week since joining the site over a week ago. So far he is smashing many of his times, climbing the ladder fast within the Top 180. We look forward to see the improvements to his rank over the next weeks.

#191 Eric Tapani is also making similar improvements and follows closely behind Kevin. He set some PRs on a few of the trickier Special cup courses and is improving his sub 1'02" MC1 PR along with others. Keep on Karting!
