Movement

PAL Activity:

PAL World Champion Karel van Duijvenboden continued his title defence strong this week to maintain his lead as the same against French Time Trial Champion Pierre L'Hoest. Karel went on a World Record rampage breaking a barrier on BC3 and surpassing it by some distance. GV1 lap breaking the 12"10 was also a strong achievment amongst some other World Records. Pierre also made significant cuts, once again taking CI1 lap World Record the next step further and a WR tie on Ghost Valley 2 then a 5-lap World Record Ghost Valley 3 with regular PRs of a very high standard.

#4 Florent Lecoanet made a tie with Pierre on Ghost Valley 2 lap with some insane platform jumping and immediate straightening up reaction time skills. As next level as it comes; oh and he also pushed his Koopa Beach 1 lap World Record down a little further.

#6 Sebastian Stellmacher, the SMK Champion of Germany drives some solid Non-NBT PRs including some good work on Ghost Valley 3.

#9 Christophe Paquin worked solely on Donut Plains 3 with a nice 5-lap and a strong middle lap fastlap to show some good potential with refining the strategy.

#20 Manuel Babjar continued on with improvements to his weaker tracks following reaching his 1'27"99 target on Rainbow Road. He has cut a few more points off, with further PRs he can reach more into the Top 20.

#27 David Bonne of France and #28 Bjorn Eklund of Sweden compete in their Non-NBT battle; this week shows David making good progress on CI1 and Bjorn shaving off some more time on MC3 to keep his stats up.

#31 Guillaume Leviach is also driving very well with some crazy Rainbow Road Non-NBT times, some of his strongest yet, and some other PRs to enhance his average finish.

#36 Angelo Di Vano, the Champion of Italy cuts his way through the average finish gap and is almost reaching Clark on the rankings with more karters not too far ahead. However he is under attack from French competitior, #37 Frederic Duarte-Leite who has some solid NBT PRs since his return to make a large average finish cut. The Champion of Spain is also not far ahead on the ranking as both karters make their approach.

#49 Alvin van Asselt sent in a Rainbow Road PR, sub 1'29" and maintains his ranking this week.

#57 Mario Brueser gains another rank with some stronger DP1 PRs and is close to passing Chabanis and Nouwen of France and Netherlands respectively.

#64 James Jones passes Stacy Needham for #8 in the UK and a lot of new PRs, highlighting the most his Non-NBT sub 1'02" PR for MC1. James also made a sub 1'30" on Rainbow Road and targets O'Neill and Hooper for more UK ranks after the Swiss and French rivals just ahead.

#89 Fabio Sacco drove 3 PRs but were some very nice cuts, these included Ghost Valley 1 and Donut Plains 3 and they place him at #89 in the World on PAL.

#123 Steve Bayliss has driven a nice PR on Ghost Valley 2 and maintains his position.

#133 Tanja Broennecke and #134 Ian Broom continue the battle this week with Ian cutting his VL2 fastlap nicely making a slightly larger cut overall; Tanja remains in the lead with a pair of GV2 PRs that she is pleased with.

#140 John Kennedy of Australia is fast moving up towards the Broennecke/Broom rivalry as he works on various weaker tracks including the GVs also and passes more karters including Finnish Champion, Nuutilainen.

#165 Daniel Caterbow worked only on Rainbow Road this week but made some very nice improvements putting him a few points short of Alex Hantson.

NTSC Activity:

#2 Guilherme Arantes, the Champion of Brazil is back in SMK this week with a World Record for Ghost Valley 1 5-lap.

#11 Soul Kobayashi the Champion of Japan set 12 very nice records cutting down some time and climbing the charts on each one. He has reached another rank and also closer to the Top 10.

#14 Tyler Worley worked a little further on Ghost Valley 3, shaving a few more points on his average finish.

#31 David Smith went for more of a significant cut this week and extended the lead from Harrington well and approaches Roodhorst.

#42 Nathan Stinson performed in a similar way to David in terms of strategy and cut some significant time off a few of the tracks; Nathan gained two positions on the NTSC World Rankings.

#59 Emeric Gosselin sets a small PR on Bowser Castle 1 lap.

#126 Jacob Goldfinger set slightly fewer PRs this week however the cuts were very good as Jacob continues to march through the 120-130 ranks.

#152 Nick Harvey has worked solidly on as many tracks as possible and is making excellent progress as he closes in on the Top 150 with several US rivals around his rank to battle his way through. Nick is evening out his times pretty well eliminating the weaker tracks and will hit a 1'01" on MC1 very soon.

#154 Ryan DeMaster drove a pair of KB1 PRs with a sub 1'00" 5-lap and defends his position following Nick Harvey's ascending.

#180 Chuck Foster maintains his rank this week following the entry of the two new members a bit further up the ranking. However he is well on the way to higher ranks as he hits 12 PRs learning some new strategies along the way to help him PR further on these courses and others.
