| New Members Welcome to... Alper Cetin, Turkey (PAL 228th, Turkey 1st, Pawn A) New World Records Alencar Faria pushed Mario Circuit 3 1-lap on NTSC down to a crazy time of 0'16"67. Guilherme Arantes also came through with a surprise lap WR tie on CI1 1-lap NTSC 0'10"16*. Chris Balch drove some awesome NTSC World Record times for Donut Plains 2... 1'23"38 and 0'16"50. Karel van Duivenboden continued the fight on Choco Island 1 on PAL vs Pierre with a new 5-lap World Record of 0'55"64. Christophe Paquin drove some new trick/glitch times that are World Record improvements on PAL, they include: DP1 1-lap 0'01"75 and GV2 times 0'54"28 and 0'02"47. Movement PAL Activity: PAL World Champion Karel van Duijvenboden sets a new WR on PAL for Choco Island 1 5-lap. #3 Sami Cetin drives some strong NBT PRs for DP1 this week. #4 Florent Lecoanet made a fast PR on GV1 5-lap and also a good DP3 1-lap PR to maintain his position. #6 Sebastian Stellmacher and #7 Matthias Boucher had a bit of a battle this week with several strong NBT PRs from both sides as Boucher goes from strength to strength on DP1 and other courses while Sebastian "our SMK Schumacher" Stellmacher comes within range to attack Armin for the German PAL title again. Armin... wo bist du? #11 Christophe Paquin set some nice trick/glitch times and also a few PRs including KB2 and RR. #27 Manuel Babjar drove some great cuts this week on Ghost Valley 2 with no platform jump including a strong lap. #55 Sean Billingsley worked mainly on Bowser Castle 3 this week reaching a #3 in UK record on that track, not too far also from McCarthy's 2nd in UK time. #58 Geoffrey Ewbank drove a sub 1'00" time on VL1 5-lap this week. #61 Jean-Francois Schepers hit a good selection of PRs this week with a nice av finish cut as he starts his approach to former Australian champion Cortes. #67 Oleguer Limona, the Spanish champion has been increasing his stats very well this week with some PRs for DP1, DP3 and VL2. #75 Mathieu Jaspard has made a great cut this week with a lot of new PRs on all round courses. He will provide a challenge for Belgian rivals Schepers and Ewbank if he continues to progress at this pace. #86 John Kenny of Australia has set some nice times including a solid MC1 and GV1, all of which cut his average finish well to land just short of Julien David of France. #94 Stacy Needham of the UK also made a strong cut this week with many nice times including a fast lap for DP1. #173 Steve Bayliss of the UK made his return this week starting with a RR PR then following up with more including the 1'03" that he was after on MC1. He is very close to climbing some more UK ranks. #197 Emmanuel Debenest of France has returned to SMK with a large list of new PRs as he makes a large climb overall into the Top 200s landing just ahead of Sami's old 1994 SMK Tournament Rival Jonathan Cem Pulleine. #202 Leyla Hasso raced her cousin, the new member Turkish Champion, Alper Cetin on Match Race and following that headed to Time Trial to hit 3 quick PRs to cut the points she needed to pass Andreas Hillenga. #204 Pierre Peruch continued pushing his KB1 times further and making some more good records on other tracks to cut more average finish. NTSC Activity: #2 Guilherme Arantes, Brazilian Champion drove some more PRs this week extending his lead a little further from rivals and landing a solid CI1 WR tie. #5 Chris Balch, the Champion of Canada drove some nice PRs for CI1 and some insane WRs for Donut Plains 2 chipping his way a bit closer to U.S Champion Bernier. #7 Pierre L'Hoest, #8 Julien Holmiere and #9 Alencar Faria are all in the middle of the battle! Pierre submitted 3 PRs and is defending his position well; Julien Holmiere is continuing his all out attack with a very strong av finish cut as he goes after the NTSC French title. Alencar drives a crazy lap for MC3 which stands as a strong World Record and some other good PRs that push him closer towards Oliver and reaching #2 in Brazil. #14 Tyler Worley reaches 46 seconds on KB1 this week, still working on reaching the World Record there. #15 Martin Morissette lands in a tie with Simon Laflamme with some PRs for MC1, VL1 and RR this week. He is not too far behind Worley either, so a battle may happen there soon. #23 Dan Hoernemann drives some good NBT PRs for DP2 improving his stats well. #96 Adam Wilkinson of USA has returned to SMK with a lot of new PRs and a strong climb into the top 100s as he lands just short of Kohei HG. #112 Emeric Gosselin of France sent in 4 PRs on MC2 and MC3 making a small improvement to his stats. #132 Brian Smith has also made a return to SMK with several cuts across Mushroom Cup and some also on Flower Cup. #133 Robin Usher of Japan, not far below Brian has improved 3 PRs this week that included PRs for KB2 and GV1. #141 Ryan DeMaster improves some of his PRs on Donut Plains 1 and Donut Plains 3. #159 Eduardo Feitosa Filho of Brazil made a big return to SMK this week submitting a long list of new PRs that have earned him a strong average finish improvement. |
