Koopa should have been a playable character (Sunday, June 24th)

Hello again, it's news updating time! A few people were active this week, and a couple good records were set. Let's take a look.
Movement
At the top of the ladder, Andy Lundeen made a small AF cut this week with a couple PRs on RKB1. He now has a 1.000 ARR and is nearly to 0.99 in PRSR.
#10 Ben Allen was also active this week; he sent in a very impressive non-ZZMT World Record on Luigi Circuit! (1:06.40) Well done Ben.
A little bit further down the standings we find some good cuts by #31 Jonathan Steele and #44 Frederick Hutchington Jonathan did a good job of widening the gap between himself and Christophe and getting closer to the top 30 by submitting a couple good times on Ribbon Road. Frederick had a really impressive week too by launching past 4 players and getting within striking distance of the top 40!
Last of our PR submitters is once again #75 Paul Tanney. He passed 9 players this week with again a hefty number of PRs. At the rate he's going, will we see him inside the top 50 sometime soon? I suppose time (and another news update or two!) will tell.
New Players and Records
No new players this week. Also, besides Ben's non-ZZMT WR, no new records. Bummer.
Awards
I was wondering earlier this week if we were going to have a rather pathetic POW for the third week of June when Friday night there were only 2 time submissions. But when I voiced this concern on the message board, a couple people were quick to submit times and a bid for the award. After considering the matter, I have decided to give this award to Frederick Hutchington. He had an excellent AF cut this week, including not one, but 2 country records this week on KB1 course and CCI flap! Excellent performance Frederick.
And I guess that wraps things up. Until next week...

Mario Kart: Summer Circuit (Sunday, June 17th)

Hi everyone, this is Andy updating the news on the MKSC site for the first time. We had a little bit of activity this week in June, and I look forward to posting about it here on the home page.
Movement
#1 Andy Lundeen (hey, that's me!) played a bit this week and posted a total of 7 unique personal records, of which two are world records. It was enough to cut a tad over a tenth of an AF point; he is steadily approaching the 2 AF mark and is nearly under 1 point in ARR.
A little further down is #31 Jonathan Steel. He posted enough PRs this week to pass Christophe Charignon, and he achieved Expert A Rank. Will a contest ensue between Jonathan and Christophe as they both fight for a top 30 spot? This may be the case, as #32 Christophe Charignon is only .0125 (1 player) behind him in AF points, and he turned in a PR this week to indicate his interest!
Last in this update, but certainly not least in activity is #84 Paul Tanney. He submitted several PRs this week, easily more than everyone else combined. It was enough for a 5 point AF cut (17%).
New Players and New Records
No new players this week, but two new records:
CL course: 46"98 LP course: 48"81
Both driven by Andy Lundeen.
Awards
Only one award to consider this week, and it's POW for the second week of June. It goes to Paul Tanney for posting by far the most PRs and making the largest AF cut. Congrats, Paul!
And, it looks like that's everything. Keep karting and (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere) have a great summer!

Chraizy activity... not. (Sunday, June 10th)

Hey guys, it's Chris! I think most of you know me, and I decided to try my hands on MKSC news updating... so let's see what happened this week.
Movement
The highest active player was once again MKSC Time Trial Champ Andy Lundeen. He sent us several new Site Records which gained him another 0.0625 AF points. He's coming closer to the 2 AF point sub, so let's see if he has still enough power to get this goal aswell!
#35 Jonathan Steel passed 4 players with 6 PRs. He is not too far away from the TOP30, only 3 points are left to pass. ARR wise, he is ridiculously close to the Expert A ranks. Only 2 points left!
Last active player was #45 Thomas Jordet Larsen who sent us some great PRs like a MC 3lap ranked 34th. He passed one player with a nice 1.8 AF cut, but is now facing a giant AF graveyard.
New Records & Players
No new players, but three new Records, all driven by Andy Lundeen:
The first is a new record on Retro Bowser Castle 1. Andy improved this 5lap record barely by 0"01 seconds to a 1'11"25! Next record made me a bit sad... as it was mine before he beat it ! It's a flap WR on Retro Bowser Castle 3: 0'12"65! The last one was also held by me, but he was able to beat this one aswell: A new 5lap record on Retro Koopa Beach 2 of 0'42"41!
Awards
I never was good at deciding anything, but anyway, this is the first time I decide an award. As for the other awards, don't know who will take care of that, but I can't as I don't know HOW I can do this!
Well, the award for the first week of June goes to Andy Lundeen for great high level PRs and 3 new WRs!

The King is dead, long live the King! (Sunday, June 3rd)

2 months have passed since the last update and a lot has happened. Here you have a short summary of what was going on in the wonderful world of Mario Kart: Super Circuit.
After more then 1000 days the reign of Sebastian Stellmacher ended as #1 Andy Lundeen claimed the throne of the MKSC kingdom. It was the 9th of April when Andy improved his Retro Bowser Castle 2 time by 0"05, which was good enough to climb up to the top.
Hail to the new king, #1 Andy Lundeen!
#27 Nicola Torre sent in 5 times and cut more than 1 AF point. He didn't pass anybody yet as there's a pretty big AF graveyard ahead of him.
Active as usual #31 Christophe Charignon sent in PRs, but barely cut any AF. Not only a Top 30 position in the AF ranking is close, but also reaching the Average Rank of Expert A, so giving up is not an option.
The first person to pass somebody (besides Andy) is #38 Jonathan Steel. He cut a little more than 1 AF point and passed his fellow citizen David Taylor.
Norwegian Champion #46 Thomas Jordet Larsen came back to the game and impressed with basically daily activity. He made a 2.9 point AF cut, passed 3 people and secured his position in the Top 50.
The next person who was active cut more AF than all previously mentioned players together. #48 Frederick Hutchington made an impressive cut of 23 AF points, passed 20 players and makes everybody ahead of him shiver in fear of getting rolled over by the Hutchington-train.
#52 Sebastian Wimmer is one of the many victims of the Hutchington-train, but thanks to a 2 point AF cut he managed to pass 1 person.
Not far behind is another very active karter. #60 Krystian Wieczorek passed 2 people with a 6 AF cut and will try to keep up with Frederick
Last but not least we have #96 Stephen de Winter who stormed into the Top 100 with a huge cut of 16 AF points. If he keeps improving this fast, the people ranked from 50-100 have to brace themselves. Winter is coming.
New World Records
Luigi Circuit – 1'02”93 Sky Garden - 44”23 Sky Garden flap – 11”26 Snow Land – 1'01”21
All driven by Andy Lundeen.
New Players
Buongiorno to #102 Fabio Sacco who joined the site, and is already knocking on the door of the Top 100.
