News: Welcome to 2009!! (cue applause) Staffing – As some of you know I appointed Alvin to help with the written updates last year. To be honest he’s not really pulled his weight and everyone complained about his last update so I’m pretty sure that will be his last. If anyone would like to volunteer to write news then send me a pm (InHiding on the message board). I am not expecting you to write it every week, but once a month or every 6 weeks is still cool with me. I would also like to thank Luca again for another year of tireless updating, without him this site would definitely not be active, so if you’ve got a heart and soul then send him a pm and thank him for his hard work in 2008. Updates – As I am sure most of you have noticed, they have been a bit few and far between in the last couple of months. I have had some personal issues (gf was in Russia) and been a bit stressed out with work etc. But these are no longer issues and I will endeavour to make sure updates are down far more regularly this year. If I start to waver someone please IM me and tell me that I made a new years resolution! Recruitment – We have about 10 new players this update (since Oct) and we want more! Loads of people have a DS so they can play gba games! Buy copies of mksc for your friends birthdays, christmases etc! Get them playing on yours if you take a break etc. Spread the word. Meet-Ups - There are going to be various “meet-ups” this year all over the world. The MK community is strong and if you are interested in going to a meet-up but have no idea where or how to get involved then send me a pm or email. They are always very very fun and I would highly recommend attending one. News: The first bit of news is if you are not on the forum, please register, there is almost 3000 people registered and there is plenty of Mariokart chat and just.. well.. chat!! Luca and I mod the MKSC board and I recommend popping into the General section too because thats where alot of the fun takes place (like the current Mafia game!). Player News: To be honest – i’ll probably do an update on Friday to cover it but basically right now its all about Mickael who has been ripping it up. More to come about that on Friday. Some awards will be somewhat predicatable, some were much harder than others but I think I got most of it right.
