News and Players: Outside of kart there have been some interesting events taking place, one might even say miracles. An English player winning at Wimbledon, 12 Million honey bees fell out of a truck on a Canadian highway (although I dont think it was Toads Turnpike) and its summer in London and not raining! Karterst Contest 2008 – Its begun! The first sets of matches are being played out at the moment. Remember to vote for your MK buddies on the days they have their matches. Good luck to all of you!! We kick off this week with the top ten. Rumour has it that Sebastian stopped playing during the Euro’s but will return to avenge his sides defeat in the final. Apparently Pierre has been sunning himself in the mediterranean with some hula hula girls. Ben Allen met up with me and went clubbing till 4am, Flemmer has gone awol and no one has seen him, Fried has been snacking girls with his karting skills and started his KC campaign, Ellis was last seen hanging precariously off the edge of a cliff while rock climbing, Alencar is still in the “hospital”, Simon has spent the last week removing bee stings, Holimiere has been preparing himself mentally for the CDF tournament in France in August and Florian sent a weak distress call saying he was in a bunker with a man called Locke.... On the upside Alan McArthur #14 (Hero D) made a handful of prs this week including double prs on BL. He is edging his way towards Martin but more importantly keeps Daniel Pabst #15 at bay. Daniel had a good week also making a handful of prs but they weren’t significant enough to make an impact on Alan. Daniel is marginally losing out on course wins but Alan is dominating the flaps. Flaps the way to do it! Just outside the top 20, Yunus Aricanli #21 creeps ever closer to passing the Godfather. If he does then this would be the firs time Sami has fallen out of the top 20 since 2001. Could this spark a mini comeback? Surely there is unfinished business with Flo? Yunus hit a nice RGV2 5lap, jees I love that course. We will skip the 30’s like a midlife crisis. Into the 40’s and we being with Whitley, Marcus Whitley (Adv E) who is so relaxed about his karting he fell asleep once while posting his prs so he didn’t submit them.. but now he has. He cut wasn’t enough to pass Wheatley yet he can smell his sweaty karting balls just infront of him. Gravy! Nicholas Harvey #45 had a good week hitting great prs on RVL2 and RGV2. Lets cut straight to the swinging 60’s where Alvaro Fababu #61 moved up a position! Maybe he was motivated by the Euro’s. He hit a bunch of prs giving him a 2pt av fin cut. The same cut again and he’ll pass Matthew next week. Daniel Sampson #65 made a very marginal cut and stays behind Dean. All alone in the 70’s this week, Emeric Gosselin #70 (Int E) hit some prs on CCI, BC3 and BC4 to name a few. New players: This week Joe Sebeny From Iowa (USA) joins us at #67 and was also a contender for POW in his first week. Keep up the good work Joe. POW and POM: It was a relatively quiet week this week but i’m giving the POW to Alan, because his av fin cut was decent compared with everyone elses and much higher up the ranking. Sebeny got a shout. For POM I think it was a pretty easy choice, Seb has been playing for the first three weeks of June and has been fighting the top spot and increasing his lead. |
