Ok, so kinda crazy week! First we’ve started to get to some tight matches in the karters contest with legends falling to legends. Keep an eye on the forth coming matches! (Vote for me against anyone! In the news this week we see the return of Simon Laflamme who has been inactive for many months and has come back with the new strats and to focus on the snes tracks to challenge Chris F back for his number 2 spot. Meanwhile theres been planty of activity. Needless to say I won’t go into to much detail but the top ten is pretty mad at the moment with the positions 6-10 changing rapidly. Players: Florian Vaz - He made 3 or so nice prs this week, his best imho being RP Flap 18"65 Chris Flemmer #2 – Chris had another strong week making numerous prs. Notably his GV2 Flap is pretty sick by all standards. Ben Allen #11 – Sat just outside the top ten, our POW last week made some nice cuts this week putting the pressure on Tom G and Coen H. His retro CI1 times were pretty quick! Simon Laflamme #3 – SIMON IS BACK! Having been active since the new site went up he’s only lost one place since! The veteran SMK player has submitted various prs this week putting himself firmly back in contention for the number 2 slot. His splits for CI2 5lap say it all! Apart from his GV2 Flap… which is even quicker than Chris! Frances Penfold #25 – Frances made a few prs this week including two of his best on BL, YD and RiRd. The competition between him and Dave S continues. Who will come out on top? Snorre Hakonsen #22 – Snore has been steadily climbing the charts and needs a mention for that! He’s now behind Henry Heikkinen who hasn’t been as active. Snorre hit both retro Mario circuits 3&4 with nice prs. David Smith #14 – Another steady climber who will shortly be challenging for the top 10! This week David made quite a few prs and lowered his av fin a lot. His only retro pr on RDP was quick around the 1’04 mark. Robert Szabo #13 – Feeling the heat from under him Robert made a couple of prs this week and keeps himself midway between David and Mark T. He like a lot of people this week pr’d on GV1 flap going sub 8 seconds. Robin Usher #31 – I suspect Robin may have joined us as a result of the combined rankings page. Nevertheless Robin is an accomplished karter and look out of him as he works on his time. Tom Gaffikin #9 – Could be tenth (I think somehow my naming of tracks got mixed up) but I made some prs this week, tried to work on GV’s and also BP. I’m using my sc kart and realised that I’m almost beating my old sc/tricking times with my level of non sc driving! Daniel Whittingham #28 – Daniel pr’d on a lot of courses this week and I get the impression he’s just running through getting used to most tracks. Looking at his times I can see he has a lot of room to pr and should work on his flaps. David Schiering #8 – David made some prs at the start of the week on LP and RRR to keep some distance between himself and TG/CH. Daniel Pabst #16 – A handful of prs from Daniel this week, PC 3lap and MC flap were the better ones of the four. Hitting times like that then the top ten should be worried. Florian Chollet #7 – Last but definitely not least, those who may have been tracking Florian will have seen that he has taken down everyone in his path so far with rapid ease. He’s passed David for 7th place by working on his retro times this week. New players: René Bauer from Germany Robin Usher USA Michael Fried USA Chris Clark UK These guys will be added to the av fin ranks when they’ve submitted full sets of times. So far we know that Fried is looking to hit some serious times (see the message boards) and Chris will no doubt be pulling high ranked snes track times out of the bag in weeks. POW: Pow this week is really hard, Simon should get it for the fact he’s come back and got all of these stupidly fast times but I get the impression they weren’t hard for him. Therefore I’m going to give it to Florian Chollet for passing everyone to get to 7th (kinda quietly done too!). |
